"Create your own method. Don't depend slavishly on mine. Make up something that will work for you! But keep breaking traditions, I beg you." Stanislavski
@BreathlessCause Actually, if you're "being" then you're not acting at all. I think that people tend to forget that acting is just pretending. Take it seriously, but don't try to be something you're not :)
its a complete course for a method actor. I am very excited to watch it.O God very soon i am coming to join this creative craft and healthy atmosphere.
now now judge not....all the techniques from all the masters of the art of acting can be used to elevate the actor to that magical creative realm he needs to exist within in order to realistically live within the given circumstances of the moment that the script provides The trick is to develop your own Method and realize there is no one Method You know what now that I think about it I hate even calling it The Method why does everything need a catagory or a title I CALL IT PERFECTED MADNESS !!!
Yea what you says makes sense even tho im a beginner to this stuff. Its kinda like Bruce Lee's philosphy on martial arts: try to learn all the styles just to "forget" them consciously. By doing that, fighting becomes more natural.
You know what Bruce's philosophy is a great model for any aspect of life so yes I would have to agree with you. Another great example would be a lyric from the late great poetic genius and another major influence in my life personally Jim Morrison, "Learn to forget."

These kids seem to try too hard to act, when thats the complete opposite thing they're suppose to be doing. They're suppose to just "be" not "try".

Adler? she was nice to those with talent, but an utter biach to those without. She was never afraid to be absolutely insulting. haha
