Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha has two series: A's (Series 1) and StrikerS (Series 2).

I recommend highly watching A's first because you have NO idea what's going on in StrikerS without watching A's first.

Also, all the characters are a lot grown up in StrikerS, and the main characters are basically swapped. In A's it's focused on Nanoha and Fate, and in StrikerS main characters are different.

MAD stands for a type of AMV that is created by a Japanese. Although the videos does not really have much difference, MADs usually has more special effects than just normal fan AMVs. They also only use Japanese songs, unlike AMVs that most of the time uses songs of other languages...

But of course, MADs without much special effects does exist, also with MADs that has songs from other languages other than Japanese.
