  • @TheMasterNo6 The Anarchist Leader was a character called Morn from the Star Trek Deep Space 9 figure line. Oddly enough, the character was in 86 episodes and never spoke a word of dialog!

  • cool man, i love this. did you brake your toys for the movie? the ones who got blown appart i mean

  • @AtomicFAILMediaTV Yes, unfortunately I had to break a few of the toys to get the best effect.

  • I remember watching this back in 97 or 98 I think XD.

It was on Newgrounds back then im not sure if it still is but this is awesome.

such creativity put into a stop motion animation.

  • @mechaart You probably watched Covert Operatives closer to the year 2000. It wasn't filmed back in '97 and wasn't online until a few years later. It was popular on Ifilm. I don't know what Newgrounds is. Glad you've enjoyed it through the years!

  • Anyway to get the theme song? It's got that awesome fast, gritty East Coast punk sound and the tongue in cheek lyrics make the opening scene a riot.

  • @DrPhd Glad you liked the Covert Operatives theme song. I could email you the theme if you'd like. Send me your email address in a message.

  • What Year Was This Made And This Looks Like A Classic Tape ANd I Can Tell That You Used A CamcoderAnd Are They On Dvd And Casset?

  • @mrstephane2002 Covert Operatives was shot in 1998. It wasn't shot on a camcorder. It was 16mm Kodak film stock shot on a Bolex film camera.

  • @covertoperatives Ok But When I Whent On Facebook I Saw The Behind The Sence Pics And The Look Like They Were Made In The 2000s And Also You Made The Songs To Wow Thats Cool.

  • at the beginning what toy car did you use

  • @kasperpink456 The car in the beginning was a humvee I painted green. I don't remember the brand since I bought it 15 years ago.

  • Suck on THEEESE!!!!!!!

  • @covertoperatives Im refering to the snake eyes and the guy in the grey and black camo. And the people that were cut were all okay at the end.

  • If you cut them with a hand saw, how are they okay at the end? and two other questions.. What did you use for gun flashes and blood

    ..

  • @CheckThisOwt18 Well, I didn't cut any of the main characters. They all survived until the end. Who are you referring to? The gun flashes were clay and the blood was red petroleum jelly.

  • Dude this vid is amazing. How did you get to make the inside of the building?

  • @StrokeYaGirl1 Thanks! But I'm not sure I understand your question.

  • @ScaleMilitaryMovies Thanks! I'm glad you like it! That music is punk rock. It's the Covert Operatives theme song!

  • 9:28 WTF was that all about?

  • @KidaMilo89 Humor.

  • Awesome dude!

  • you obviously have a lot of money! lol! I was inspired to make one myself thanks to this film, but i'm having difficulties buying model cars coz they're too darn expensive apiece

  • @NormanWasHere If the model cars are too expensive then write them out of your movie. I'm sure you can think of something cool that doesn't involve model cars.

  • How did you make the ninja head splat and how did the ninjas got chop how do you do it?

  • @mrstephane2002 I chopped the ninjas into pieces with a hand saw.

  • @11:18 nicely put

  • how did u add sound to and effects to it coz it made it sound really ausome

I added sound effects during the editing process with editing software.

  • WHATASECOND IDONTREMEMBERHAVING A WHITENINJA!

  • This vid along with the last randy standing were the first two stopmotion vids I ever saw...Thnx to that I now have a greater appreciation for the innovative and unparralled thinking that stop motion animators put into their work...big ups to you XD

  • @BlueJarth Wow, thanks! That's awesome! I'm glad I helped you find an appreciation for stop-motion animation!

  • Ur videos r so good Wat camera duo use ciz I wanna make an animation with sound in it bit I dont kno wT camera to use

  • @TheSamCharlie I don't use a camera with sound. I use an SLR still photo camera. All sound for animation is done separately and then combined with the picture during the editing process.

  • @schristy999

Thanks a lot! Glad to have you as a decade long fan!

  • Try spraying your figures with clear matt varnish spray, it will remove the shine, and it will look even better, good effort!

  • how did this not get a million views??!

  • amazing work!

  • nice work

  • lol, did you make the beginning song?

its crazy punk and hillarious haha

  • @Vanarchy23

Yes, I did make the beginning song. Glad you liked it! There are two other songs in the movie I did as well.

  • so may i ask how you "smoosh" the head of quick kick?

  • may i ask how do you film in stop motion?

  • @jijyno2

Stop motion animation is done by moving the figures a small amount, taking a picture and moving them again a small amount over and over and over again. After you've captured all of the individual frames they are complied together into a timeline. That is when they can all be played back in sequence and the figures appear to be in full motion. You can use any camera to capture an image, even a photo camera. Then you get an editing program to compile the fames into your movie.

  • may iask how do you film in stop motion?

  • i'll buy yur stormshadow 4 10 bucks

  • @TeamKayla5593

That's a good deal. I'll sell it to you for 410.00 bucks!

  • can it be 100 dollars cheaper?

  • can it be 100 dollars cheaper? oh and are you making another covert operatives movie?

  • @TeamKayla5593

How much are you offering me? I'm not sure if I understand.

  • 10 bucks maybe 11

  • i meant 4/for 10 bucks

  • @teamzerrlaut

are you the same as TeamKayla5593? The person who wanted to buy my storm shadow? What do you mean by 4 for 10 bucks?

  • @beastmomohi18

    You are correct sir!

  • Great vid, it screams Cyborg Turkey!

  • Holy crap this is cool!! How long did it take you to make this?

  • @rawproductions08

It took me about 9 months to make including writing, building sets, shooting and editing.

  • Could you tell me how you stomped that guys head? It would be great in an stop motion

  • @noobkingthe2nd

It would be great in a stop motion. It was great in my stop motion.

  • Now this is what GI Joe: The Movie should have been!

  • are u making any more stopmotion vids?

  • HOW do you keep them standing up? and that really must have hurt at 1:11

  • HOW do you keep them standing up?

  • @Flaggle99

Sometimes it's just balance, other times I've used clay or hot glue.

  • tis moive is alsome how many pics did it take

  • @redrockerkid

I think it was like 30,000 frames or something like that. I can't quite remember exactly.

  • i recognized like one third of the characters, i got some of the figures myself. bad ass video, this had to take zillion frames to make.

  • You've got some serious talent boy

  • all i can say is AWSOME!!!! u pwn

  • If you make a follow-up, the A-Team movie figures and van would be perfect. "You broke my van, fool!"

  • wow, why would you break so many of them, what a shame

  • @warrennguyen08

I mostly only broke generic fake GI Joe figures. The others I just carefully took apart and then put back together afterwards.

  • @covertoperatives wat does generic mean? sorry and oh

  • @warrennguyen08

generic means knock off figures. Copy GI Joe figures.

  • @covertoperatives oh the CORPS action figures?

  • Almost five years later, this vid STILL rules! You really need to grab some views from that hot new LEGO Black Ops vid. (It's cool, but it's nothing new.)
