Hell, ANY MOTORCYCLE not equipped properly for winter riding is only an accident waiting to take hard earned money out of your pocket--not to mention personal injuries that will take time to heal. Yes, I've learned this the hard way--trust me, don't ride the bike if there is any trace of snow or ice on the road. Make sure the road is perfectly DRY! And even then, the salt (powder) on the road will pit your aluminum rims.
