Code Masters (the developers of the game) has completely turned around the style of the original Colin McRae Rally games with the release of DIRT. so not only is the shift sound different, but you get these gay ass american rally cars and 4x4 buggies, rather than basing it off the WRC itself.

Lol! That's funny, may be your game is, like, not license and hacked or smth like that, such games usually have problems. Man, I want this game too. I finished CMR3 and want this 2005 now. But I don't wanna spend money on games. :(
