  • Nice track!

  • @harpinc have you competed in the Florida Winter Tour?

  • have you competed in the Florida Winter Tour?

  • i wish they would allow supermoto

  • Like a motorcycle with 4 wheels....i can afford one....thanks....

  • Good skills

Cok sukers who buy Ferrari´s and Lambo´s should first be able to drive go Karts like this

  • dear santa there is still 6 days for christmas i and have changed my mind again.....

  • awesome pass at 43 sec! nice pass on the outside.

  • Go Brent!!!!!!

  • Nice driving.... On the other hand, thats a pretty cambered track........

  • that track is rough...but still looks fun

  • i used to live in JACKSONVILLE, More neer midleburg

  • @XxCoDBlackopsxX1 i stayed right off of midleburg at wilson street

  • very good, who is a manufacturer?

  • swiss hutless

  • sick dude im going out there this weekend for practice runs you still race?

  • sounds a little bit like a viper , btw nice driving :)

  • nice suit!... ive got the same one.

  • i dont understand why people put motorcycle engines and stuff in these, i think they are fast enough stock (: haha

  • i live in on connijean rd

  • You passed a noob? And caught up to an amateur.

  • where do u get one of these??

  • @BMS10296 Ebay is usually full of used ones. For new, look up Go Kart in your phone directory yellow pages. There are MANY go kart shops in major cities all over the world.

  • Better than Nascar.

  • ur good :D didnt thought gokart's was that fast :)

  • @MonzaWoWaznoM Many people don't realize how fast they are! 6-60 in about 3.5 seconds and a top speed of around 120 MPH.

Search YouTube for, "Shifter Kart vs. Corvette" for an amazing comparison done at the Bob Bondurant School Of High Performance Driving - where they give driving instruction in both Corvettes and Formula Fords, and shifter karts.

  • ótimo Robinho mando bem!

    hehe

  • what class do you race in ?

  • Woah! Nice track! x3

  • good driver but damn you arnt smooth on the wheel

  • try this shit w a 500 cc kawasaki 5 spd

    i got it bring it

  • @CHEETOMAN04 We have had various 'outlaw' karts with engines ranging from 250cc up to 500cc + show up at our local 1.3-mile, 9-turn kart track, and they CAN NOT equal or exceed the lap times posted by the best 125cc karts.....even driven by the same drivers who hold the track record in the 125cc karts.

The oullaw karts are too heavy and produce too much wheel-spin and are difficult to control.. On a much larger track they would be faster. There IS a class called Super Kart that uses 250cc.

  • good video.. agree on the tightness of the setup lol. looks like she wanted to push to the front of the line all day ahaha.. that track looks like the shit too!

  • love this video just watch it over and over again

  • tiny but fun looking track

  • gotta love the mychron 3 gold :)

  • I love this adrenalin.

  • @ megathor44: If you race in a 2stroke kart (for example the shifter like in this video), your weight won't be a problem... These karts are fast enough, no matter how much you weigh ;)

  • I weigh 80 kilograms, is that to heavy to be racing race karts

  • @megathor44 That is a near- perfect weight to race a kart. Karting most always has a MINIMUM weight rule that includes the weight of the kart plus the driver. The weight is usually based on about a 90kg driver, so a 80kg driver would have to add aprox 10kg of lead weight to his kart in order to be allowed to race. It is difficult to be competitive for a person weighing, say 110kg however, as weight is quite critical to performance. The minimum combined wt for most adult classes is about 175kg

  • woot, like a mini ferrari! ;D

  • yeah and the oil change doesnt cost an arm and a leg

  • yes ^^

  • @EndoCloudz But the crash will.

  • wow i used to live 3 minutes away from this track when i was younger

  • 1:48 he got taken! - well done

  • dose any 1 hav a cheap shifter kart for sale

  • @PITBIKER98 Check eBay. There are usually several of them for sale. Search go karts high performance. It depends on what you consider cheap. Your local track or go kart shop would be a better place to shop for one...no shipping and you can inspect (or dirive it) before buying.

  • @JGMagoo thanks.

  • $1000 - 7000+ craigslist has em for 1500ish

  • lol 3 hours is a long time

  • Lose Is Fast haha nice video

  • how much does a race ready used 125cc shifter kart go for

  • THATS WHAT I WANNA KNOW

  • one that would make you competitive and win races 10,000

  • nice man, im an hour from jax. Were is the track and the name of it? do you have a number to it? Thanks

  • that looks fuckin mad. how fast is he dwn the straight

  • I like Pro Shifters but some day I want to drive a Rotax DD2

  • not bad put me on that track for 3 hour and ill be better then you

  • someones cocky.

  • yer hitting a raised apex in a kart is really gonna help ur times ;/

  • @ Daystate and ninjakid,

He can't drive for shit, look at every apex he misses like 10 centimeters... way to slow

  • do you even know what the apex of a corner is??? and you dont need to hit it. its not a target.

  • sorry i mean the clipping point, but he also leaves to much space @ apex

  • THESE GUYS AINT RIDING THE powrband!!

  • duval!

do you know a guy named Vern that races out there?

i moved away from jax about 3 months ago and i just keep going back every weekend. I miss jax!

  • gr8 drivin - well done

  • Naw, It's not hard to drive those. Corners at 4-5 G's. I broke both of my ribs just from the cornering force. Yea, through my flak jacket.

You have no seatbelt so everytime you stand on the brakes you are getting 3 g's so its like doing pushups. You cant see where you are going cause of the vibration. Heartrate? 175 for days

MY older brother thught he could do it and they kicked him off the track cause he was going too slow.

Its F-1 on a budget. And no, you can't.

  • holy crap you can drive...

  • @ninja6kid

must have never been to a TAG race before..

  • @ninja6kid no he cant. i race these year round. he's doin a pretty shitty job. if you noticed the way he's turning? he keeps repeatedly turning it thru a turn. it's better and safer if you keep it steady. and that dont take much skill.

  • @ninja6kid no he cant. i race these year round. he's doin a pretty shitty job. if you noticed the way he's turning? he keeps repeatedly turning it thru a turn. it's better and safer if you keep it steady. and that dont take much skill. and he keeps hittting the side skirts. thats bad on the kart!!!!!!!!!

  • @dieselman92 same here and i agree with everything you said

  • @dieselman92 sir you may race, you may keep a steady wheel but this guy is doing an excellent job at driving. anything with mounds of power in a turn requires over and understeer. hate to bring it up..but ken block. watch him inside the cab. it requires "fancy" steering. inertia, momentum, weight (according to gravity) all change when forces act on them thus = jabbed steering. but you can keep your steady steering if youd like

  • @dieselman92 well then, why dont u post a video so we can see how its done?

  • i use to race dirt in maxville....ever go to the blue angles lol.....any way u ever go to the street races out there by wheelers well they dont have them any more some dumbass chick walked out in front of the car......any way just saying

  • nice shifting....=)

  • This guy has no clue where the line is!

  • ya well my dads friend is 35 and thats what he though "ya thats easy" so he got into the circute and did a race and thought it would be a easy win but he was gatting passed by little 7 year olds. And they can't even drive on the rode. so its a lot harder than it looks

  • thats not that hard... can't you people drive?

  • Man has skills..Shit is hard.

  • it is really hard unless you have a gift

  • damn your good

  • how is he good?

he cant figure out his line. he never hit the apex. and he dropped the cart out of the powerband many times. whats "good" about that?.

    i agree with epitomeguy

  • darn rite 103rd kiks ass! i got a cadet an im leadin points rite now

  • Man I wish my track was longer. I own a 125cc shifter myself, I even own a track that is no longer in use. But that track is amazing!

  • looks so fucking easy but that shit is really hard..i tried it and crashed. fail O_O haha

  • whers that place at i live in jax fl and i know whers 103rd and i live next to it bot wher is it

  • Use the force Luke.

  • im luke....and i will

  • jaster7243 Your an idiot.Your 100 wouldn't stand a chance

  • ***bmont62>> well.... I beat a 125 shifter round Whilton Mill, and Another one round Rye House in a Rotax Max....

You find that shifters spend a lot of time shifting and preparing for corners, which, in comparison to a single gear, looses them SO much time.. Unless they're driven by Jonothan Thonan and the like! LOL... but yeah...

my point is, one can beat a shifter round some tracks... I know cos I have..

  • shifting actually saves time... that's why they invented it

  • shifting isnt to do with time really, if anything it uses more time shifting before a bend.. only the experienced can tie in the braking with the shifting and initial turn in! Watch Jonothan Thonan... ;)

shifting is purely to do with speed and achieving more from the engine.. Nothing more.. Hence why some of the time, a FAST single gear can hold off a gearbox....(like i managed round Rye and Whilton.. not bragging, just my own proof of the fact..)

  • shifting allows the engine to be in its power band, therefore providing faster acceleration, and, as you said, speed- which improves time. I don't know how you can say it improves speed but not time

and it's irrelevant that you happened to beat a shifter cart one day... put equal drivers into equal cars, one with a 5 speed, one with a single gear, the 5 speed will win EVERY time.

  • shifter and single gear engines are tuned very differently.. single gear engines are tuned to use as much of the engines power as possible.. where as the gears on the shifter do this job..

its not only speed that effects a kart around a track mate. the weight plays a huge role.. Seeing as shifters are 15kg plus heavier than single gears, they are a lot heavier to corner, and round some tracks dont corner well enough, hence the saying ''this track is too tight for gearbox karts''

  • .. it is in these circumstances that a shifter is simply matched by a single gear..

I know what your saying mate, but your not understanding what im saying. I dunno if its because you dont race karts yourself? (or do you?), or you havent been in a situation where youve driven, or driven against a gearbox kart?? Or your just being purposely closed minded?? But if Im being fair i know what im talking about.. Not only am i an experienced racer but ive driven shifters..

  • alright well fair point about the added weight- i didn't think of that. and yeah, i am somewhat new to karts... all i know is that full sized cars accelerate much faster than they would with just one speed. take the new electric mini (500 were released here in california)- 200 hp, 0-60 in over 8 seconds with the same weight as the mini cooper s, which does it in like 6.5. it's not a hard concept and you seem to get it.

  • i supposed some extremely tight tracks which require little acceleration might be better suited to a single gear...

  • acceleration is the key to tight tracks

  • fair enough mate.. i definately see what you mean and its true in theory as proven by the minis. But karts are weird creatures.. and the only reason this theory doesnt always apply to karts is because there are tight tracks in karting where changing gears literally consumes the driving.. on a longer track, yes the sheer speed on shifters will destroy a single gear.. but if you google Bayford Meadows kart track, that is a prime example of a track where a single gear could beat a shifter..

  • i race vintage sports car but i think ill just gonna toss this out there - the Chaparrel 2D (I believe it was the D) was a one gear race car from the 60's that topped out at 200 or so, and won a good many races at places like laguna seca, or the mitty, and lost round road atlanta and VIR. i think the same concept you two are talking about there would apply with that car.

less weight which results in faster corners, and the momentum it keeps allows it to keep up with geared cars on straights

  • wow ur a dumb ass it gives u more power and better braking saveing time has to be that lamest thing ever. ur a pice of shit u know that.

  • if you could write a coherent sentence it'd be a little easier to communicate with you. who's a dumbass? what are you talking about?

  • I have a SwissHutless too!!

  • you break way to early and get on the gas way to late, i would probably beat you on my 100

  • If comparing the video to a shifter kart you've own/driven on that track, then the rest is unnecessary.

But, off chance you might have not, then I'm not sure about that. You might have mistaken if you are comparing this shifter kart to your 100 cc kart. And it seems like he had some push.

He broke early behind the guy (setup the pass). There is a lot more torque to accelerate with since he can shift down. Also, he might be carrying more speed down the straights and needs to break earlier.

  • If you could beat him, you would have already done it. He races everywhere in the South East and is a National player, but you would know that if you were any good.

Good luck with your youtube racing, jaster. I'm sure you are the fastest typer on here.

  • your a douche bag, get a life you lame youtube one upper

  • NICE!....do you race in FKCS or in North Florida Kart series? Im going to be racing in both this year...execpt i will be in Easykart 125 Light and TAG Senior...

  • I will be at some of the races. Running my Rmax in Tag light and heavy. We are currently doing the FWT in Rmax.

  • ya ill be running all of the events for florida...

  • I like your camera mount. do you have more info about it ?

    Great Video BTW

    J.H

  • seems like ur having huge amount of understeer. how come on such a dry track??

  • god, karting does not have servo haha, nice recording right there...

  • I love the elevation and camber changes. Looks like so much fun.

  • USE THE BLUE TURTLE SHELL!!!

  • amazing.........

thanks for sharing your passion for all to see, made my day............Lola.

  • where did u get that kart

  • great vid posted here for all to see..

thanks for sharing it. thumbs WAY up for quality..........Nice.

  • haulin, ass!

  • Hey - NIIICE video. Looked into the chasecam thing - sadly a bit pricey for me :-)

I know your kart was push kicking, but can you tell me (if you hit the ideal setup) how will it behave? Does it still break into oversteer easy, because of the power. I am in a tonykart/parilla leopard ("only" 28 HP), but am getting bored with it - i want more challenge! I am considering a 125 shifter for next season, but it´s hard to find one to test drive, so any advise would be super duper.

  • your one sick ass driver

  • its all about dare to push it, pretty "simple"

  • does anyone know how much a similar cart would cost if you bought it used but still in good racing condition? Who makes the best Engines; what about chassis? Whats a good website to look for used ones? Can a person whos like 6'1" but skinny fit in one of these I'm kinda a shifter noob can someone help me out. Help on the subject would be Much appreciated guys

  • Thats a fun track

  • tht intell22 obv no's shit cos iam from england and the shifter karts at my track do 140+ mph and tht is faster than most cars

  • 125 cc or 250?

cuz 125 wont go to much over 135ish

    250cc for shur

  • 135ish? are you talking mph...

you are a dumb dumb... who cares about mph.. you only care about your lap times and segment times per session..

noob.... go ride putt putt karts

  • go ride putt putt karts?

  • wtf? Why are you coing crazy about a little comment? It wasn´t an attack on you in any way. Behave!

  • nice and fast track but short

  • stfu u dont know shit

  • do u let go of the gas on upshift

  • nope but you have to hold the clutch before u shift

  • Usually in shifter karts the only time you use the clutch is when you start and stop. Other than that you just shift no clutching. I don't know about cars, but quads and dirt bikes are the same way, except it is easier on the trans if you do clutch, but it is really necessary.

  • ya i thought you had to but last weekend we went racing and i asked my dads friend if you had to hold the clutch in before you shift he said no

but ya in cars you do have to use the clutch

  • no u dont clutch is only for starting

  • the 6 speed gear box clutch is only needed on starting. once the kart is moving the gears mesh together symetrical. all you need to do is get the RPMs to get close enough.

One thing to remember though is when the kart is slowing and you are not in the throttle you are not pumping oil into the motor so you need to do quick up shifts right before a turn. Sparrow338 is correct. you can shift without the clutch in a car too. Road racers use the heel toe method when they shift.

  • wtf are you talking about????

heel toe is when you are on the brake with your right foot and tap the gas with the side of your foot and your left foot is used compleatly for the clutch so how can you heal toe withought using the clutch in a car?

  • did is that u tristen

  • You obviously don't race karts if you think that is fast forward??? That is real time all the way!!!!

  • bro i race in lower the rotax class and am moving upto these soon,, its not in "fast foward" look it up

  • Did you race any of the Florida Winter Tour races???? I also race Rmax in the Masters class and love it..

  • na bro im from new zealand theres not as many tracks but we also use the a1 gp track down south sometimes that was awesome!,now i want everyone who thinks they know like this "ital22" that in the rotax class, which i race, on long tracks get upto around 160-170 kmh, what you see here is capable of over 200 kmh

  • that is not fast forward ital22.....i have taken the bob bondurant karting course 2 times and that is how fast u go!! u have no idea the performance of these karts.....get educated before u make a stupid comment like that

  • THAT THING WAS ON RAILS!!! =O....

  • is this you?

  • wheres the clutch on these?

  • some are centrifugal but the clutch lever is located right by your left hand on the steering wheel and you pull it towards you the actual clutch is located in the gear box

  • thats right up the street form me i got there all the time

  • nice driving i use to run the gold cup series and we would race this track for our opener placed 3rd outta 30 or 40 2 years ago this march... track is alot of fun and would really like to go back and run there sometime... and your right about it being loose... but loose is fast!

  • sick fun,no wonder the f1 drivers still drive karts.......

  • What's the camera mounted on?

  • I am faster than all of you at 103rd.

    (I promise)

  • I ran a 32.1 there in 2002 winter tour, won the 1st ocala round, and finished 3rd in the S1 class series that year...... who am I??

  • a jackass

  • hahahahah oh snap

  • a gay

  • this past year i was running for mdr and mrp motorsports down there in a brand new 07 r31 tag kart and that thing was just loose loose loose cause of the lack of rubber on the track and becuase of how cold it was but we ended up out timing everyone on friday and saturday until qualifing. ended up making some changes went the wrong way and ended up qualifing 17th in the prefinal made it up to 5th before a kid cut down on me at the end of the front straight

  • ok so none of you know what this track is like to drive so you dont know how fast and demanding this track is especially in the icc division so cut the guy some slack. the track is notoriously loose for the conditions and it is also unbelievably fast for karts (shifters will hit over 100). ive raced @ jacksonville and it is by far the fastest and most challenging track that the man. cup in wka went to in 07

  • Agreed, I am 38 years old and just got finished kicking some teenage butt at the USKGP @VIR.. This kart is actually a TM Moto engine which as you know is even harder to get hooked up. All of the comments from these wannabe drivers would really matter if they could only properly diagnose what the kart was doing.. It is push/kicking.. Pushing initially and then gripping up and kicking the rear around...

  • Wow. Nice cart sounds great.

  • man ur kart has got some grunt dude. u seem to slide and swerve heeps. is that due to the power or just cold tyres? your pritty good but if you could not slide you would be much faster. if you say you have won nationals titles. well knowing that you could lap the whole frikin field if u didn't slide. any way good video
