  • im suprised that jason kicks slower than bill

  • this is very very very similar to muay thai....

  • @tmakidd0703

practically the same thing with different rules but pradal serey fighters compete in muay thai tournaments in the asian games muay thai doesn't have any grappling though

  • @Trebz99 ok cool thnks for clearing tht up tho

  • i dont like that bald guy

  • @TheKayanna12 Maybe he doesn't like you.

  • I got the same shirt as jason...weird

  • @aznlilboi1021 I'm sure he got it from the same "target store" you got it from.

  • @PokerVertigo Thank you =]

  • jason sounds like that computer tech guy out of that national treasure films with nicholas cage sometimes

  • i sorta think that muay thai is a little bit more effective with the kicking cuz you snap back faster instead of goiing straight through in muay thai and the grappling doesnt seem to be effective unless you know ju jitsu or some wrestling after

  • they fight 4 times in a week!! thats intense

  • Looks like Muay Thai except for the grappling part.

  • Really isn't anything that innovated. AND OMG THERE IS 666 COMMENTS!!!

  • Look up brooklinmonk1 he s the translater at the end here

  • To me it looks like Muay Thai...

  • @AL3T0 The countries are extremely close in proximity so don't be surprised if Laos,Cambodia,Malaysia,e.t.c. have similar styles.

  • @AL3T0 read up history b4 u make a comment

  • @countryboyloko I didnt say anything wrong about the history, idiot.

  • @AL3T0 read up boy before u type! although, the style are similar Padel Sarey is not Muy Thai and 4 reference visit Angkor temple... little shit head bitch!

  • @countryboyloko Oh come on shut the fuck up you little smart ass. I said it looks like muay thai. I didnt say anything about the history. I guess you are the one who should think. Saying shit that ain't true.

  • the Ytube vid on cambo brothels is more interesting

  • dude this shit looks like a sloppy knock off version of muay thai

  • @adn1337 Lol , whoa there big guy . Muay Thai was this , before Vietnam, Loas and Thai , it was the Khmer Empire . This is where your "muay thai" originated. All the Bokator masters were murdered during the war against Khmer Rouge.

  • @SreyMusic

Not all Bokator masters were murdered, there are still a few living and today they write book, open school teaching Khmer children and promote Bokator around the world. Just last week Bokator wons a second place among 35 countries in Korea while Muay Thai won nothing.

  • @KhmerWarrior7 nono , i am saying that Bokator is not a knockoff of Muay Thai, if anything Muay Thai is a knockoff of Bokator. I know that there are some alive left there is a training camp at a temple in seim reap i believe.

  • @SreyMusic

Not only in Siem Reap, Bokator lives around the world. The movie of Bokator will come out soon and Cambodia is preparing Bokator to list as the world heritage as well.

  • @KhmerWarrior7 I don't know how big it can get, We are losing generations as years pass by. Remember a master will never teach his student all of his skill.

  • @SreyMusic

Bokator is Second place in Korea and will be listed as the world heritage next.

  • @KhmerWarrior7 ah ic

  • @SreyMusic - Muay in Chinese means Girl LOL so Muay Thai means Thai Girl Hahahaha

  • @Soksabai79 LMAO !

  • @SreyMusic - Do you know that most of Thai words are so funny when translate to Khmer or Chinese like Khmer say Kun Kru, Thai say Wai Kru LOL

  • @Soksabai79 LOL

  • @Soksabai79

    oh thats too funny man....

  • Paddy sounds like a south african

  • tired of youtube gonna go watch some porn...piece

  • Aren't these the TAPS guys from Ghost Hunters?

  • roughest part of training, at the camp i went to outside phnom penh, was actually getting food poisoning twice. i love thai food.....laos food....but camping with khmers and eating the local food..man, more lethal than the roundhouse! be warned haha.

  • @mallcorekidsdie Yeah mate, i got food poisoning from eating dog in Cambo, it knocks you around.

  • @mallcorekidsdie

Cambodia is the one winning the World Gourmand Awards because you are so ignorant about Khmer food.

  • No wonder Manny pac-man is dropping people in the ring!

  • Has anyone ever noticed that the leaders of most of these martial arts camps are usually small and unassuming?

  • @wmd44110 they are. my muay thai gmy on my lane here, is home to jitti from buriram, he's a gentle soft spoken guy and a height of 5'5'!! but fast and tough as nails!

  • It was mentioned in our Muay Thai class that part of Muay Boran originated from Cambodia carried over to Thailand. Muay Boran as we all know it is the root of Muay Thai. Only it's a lot bloodier and a bit more centered on the "eight limbs". If you know Muay Thai then all of it gets carried over in this.

  • MY BROTHER LIKES 2 PICK ON ME ALOT HE LITERALLY JUS CHOCKED ME TILL I BLACKED OUT HE COULVE KILLED ME THA ONLY REASON HE STOP IS BECUZ HE ACCIDENTALLY LOSS HES GRIP IM 16 HES 18 HES MUCH STRONGER AN IM MUCH TALLER HE HAS ANGER PROBLEMS AN IM PRETTY MUCH USELESS AGAINST HIS STRENGHT I WAS JUST WONDERING WHATS THE BEST MARTIAL ARTS 2 USE TO DISMANTLE SUM 1 WITH OUT EVEN TRYING.... AN DEFEND MYSELF AGAINST OTHER BULLIES HE LIKES 2 CALL ME NAMES BUT WHEN I CALL HIM BAC A NAME HE PHYSICALLY HURTS ME.

  • Would have been cool if they went to Africa and learnt something there

  • why iz bill duff even there..... hes so annoying

  • hah they just took the muay baran (spelled?) clip and put it in

  • @CrunkKid911 muay boran* :]

  • @CrunkKid911

Don't ignore my video response above. Thai always took Khmer creation and claimed as Thai. Thai Muay Boran has Khmer magic spelling that Thai today can't understand but Khmer can.

  • @KhmerWarrior7

i agree, but this is just like other martial arts, like judo that became wrestling in US,

Pradal Serey bekame Muay Thai in Thailand.

  • @s4mis4mi

The US never lied like Thailand. The US always give credit to the Judo creator but Thailand never give credit to Khmer Pradal Serei and that's why you got false claim from Muay Thai here.

  • 2:33 It's so very frightful. This is the time of cruel the history. Plz don't back anymore.

  • @sokhaisthecoolest Thank you. It's the first time that I see a cambodian style.

  • @TheRuckanucka

Muay Thai fighter wear Khmer Yantra written in Khmer language that's good enough proof Muay Thai copied from Khmer Pradal Serei.

  • No real difference between this and Muay Thai, like there's no difference between Savate and Kickboxing.

  • it hurts just looking!

  • kun Khmer vs muay thai, kun khmer wins almost all of the time, search it up on youtube and you'll see a dirty ass siamese get his ass knocked the fuck out

  • @TheRuckanucka man shut the fuck up, if your not a thai national doing muay thai or a khmer doing pradal serey, fucking foerign trash trying to copy our shit. IF YOU WERENT SO RETARTED YOU WOULD KNOW THAT PRADAL SEREY WAS THE CAME FIRST AND MUAY THAI IS JUST FAILED JOCK OF PRADAL SEREY DUMBASS

  • wow this is superb!

  • BADASS

  • whats the martial art called

  • @waggonflap dude seriously? just replay the video, they repeat the name like a hundred times in 9 minutes and 59 seconds.

  • Thailand just marketed their art first

  • Yea. Muay thai was just one of the Martial Art form orginiated from Khmer. Wikipedia it up, KHMER EMPIRE. most westerners are not firmiliar with the history but Khmer and Thai knows the truth behind it.

  • brutal is all I got to say lol

  • cool man

    thx for the upload

  • i dont know if muay thai is more better that this but this guys are very good

  • @robertinho102 muay thai and prodal serey has the same moves, just different names casue thai people stole it and named it different.

  • @sonohkong To me Muay Thai and Pradal Serey do not have the same moves. The moves are done differently with different results. Pradal Serey's round kick is not the same as Muay Thai's round kick. Some of Pradal Serey's techniques and Muay thai techniques may be the same but the way they are done is completely different

  • @FlashmanJW it not done differently, it depend on the teacher. and it is the same moves because thai stole it from khmer. if u gonna say its different then tell me one.

  • @sonohkong From a spectator's view PS is similar to MT however PS uses more elbows and knees and is faster than MT reminiscent to Muay Boran. Moves are different PS's Roundkick and MT's Tae Tud are done differently. I noticed that PS's kick is almost similar to MT's kick but it has sort of a TKD approach when delivered since it's snapped. PS's kick delivered 550 lbs and MT's delivers 1000 lbs, I could be wrong about the technique it just looks like they snap it.

  • @FlashmanJW the use of elbow is depens on the fighter not the art it self. and the round house is also depens on the fighter. the way the moves is being use is depens on the teacher. where do u think muay boran comes from? u know waht bokator is right?

  • @sonohkong Yeah Bokator is the predecessor of Pradal Serey, right? Actually the usage of elbows and knees do depend somewhat on the art, Pradal Serey uses elbows and knees in combinations which Muay Thai doesn't rarely do that. And I wasn't talking about how the moves were being used I was talking about how they were done.

  • @FlashmanJW yeah the way its being use is depens on the teacher. if u say that its different then tell me. how are the moves being done different?

  • Comment removed

  • @sonohkong The roundkick in Pradal serey snaps its kick somewhat like in Karate or Taekwon Do before delivering while in Muay Thai there is no snap. Plus I think the main differences between these 2 styles are

    1. Muay Thai is Thai, Pradal Serey is Cambodian

    2. Muay Thai is international

    3. Pradal Serey/Bokator is a system

I'm trying not to get into a debate, since you probably know more about this.

  • @FlashmanJW im not saying that muay thai is not thai, im just saying its originated from khmer. both of the kicks snap before hiting the target. its twist your hip, knee up then u kick. i dont know what to say, it either u belive it or not. i can't just tell u what to belive, if u think different so be it. it does'nt matter.

  • @siamtiger99

    Cambodia are generations in SEA.

The Siams comes to Cambodia and steal the Cultur and Material Arts.

Khmer Material Art have over 10,000 Techniques and Muay Thai ?

Any Techniques from Muay Thai a copied by Khmer Material Art.

In the Civil war much Bokator and Pradal Serey master died in the torture

    of the Khmer Rouge.

  • @siamtiger99 cambodia was better than thai in the 19 century, so waht u talking about? we are sucks right now casue there was a genicide in khmer 30 years ago. u thai people made to today casue khmer let you stay in our land when the mongo people was kicking yo ass.

  • That's brooklynmonk LOL he does a show called Martial Arts Odyssey I believe

  • their kicks are amazing....

  • looks almost like muaythai

  • @ultrauband

    but it isn´t muay thai

Muay Thai is a copy of Khmer Kickboxing

  • They are traveling around the world, they have tryed almost everything in martial arts and they still dont know how to kick... omg thats pathetic. Jason is PRO/ P-R-O mma fighter and his "kick" sucks . I wont talk about Bills kick, because that would be the same like order dance to a person without legs...

  • looks like muay thai.....

  • I'm Cambodian and i don't know how to speak much of it(im born in the us)but i do want to go back to learn this fighting style (and maybe for the 14 year old prostitutes)

  • Comment removed

  • Today, both the Pradal Serey and Muay Thai are still very similar with only minor differences in certain technics that are developed separately later on.

  • they look the same 2 me

  • The oldest kickboxing in Southeast Asia is the Pradal Serey. The Pradal Serey, itself, orignates from the Ancient Khmer Martial Art called Bokator.

Regarding the relationship between Pradal Serey and Muay Thai, they are essential the same. During the past, the Thais adopted Pradal Serey and gave it a different name to call it their own. So basically, Muay Thai is a derivative of Pradal Serey, although the Thais will never admit it because that would a loss of face as both are still in conflict

  • cool ! we got same roundhouse kick .

  • it looks like muay thai

  • Yantra was khmer, thai classical danced created by khmer, the cloths , temple, writing, language, culture, and etc were khmer origin.

  • thailand became a country in 1400 a.b. cambodia was over 2,000 yrs old. so tell me which copied which?

  • this is just like muay thai

  • Bokator killing fist, muay boran killing fist, muay thai sport.

  • in a fight it useally depends on the fighter not wat martial art they use but that can soetimes help

  • This is real fight! NOT SOME STUPID AZZ FAKE THAI SHITT!! We invented kickboxing THAI BITCHES!! IF I SEE A THAI I WILL SKIN HIM ALIVE!!

  • Well sure but if Im not wrong Thai was b4 Kickboxing, but maybe Im wrong.....

  • Well, save some for me yea?

  • dude calm down.muay thai is a great style regardless who did it first

  • thai ppl are a bunch of faggots all they do is copy other countries and claim it to be their own fuck thai ppl thats why human weapon came to srok khmai and not thailand man thailand is rated number 1 country for fag bags lol

  • cambodia is my country

  • what is cambodia ?

  • a south eastern asian country

  • All southeast-asian martial arts base off of the same ancient style of which is Muay Boran. Muay Thai and Pradal Serey along with Tomoi, Muay Lao all originated from Muay Boran which originated with the Thais.

So there is little difference on the competitive art of each country, other than that it is much more developed in Thailand because of the money involved and thereby the level of the fighters.

  • That's why all the people here saying that Pradal Serey-fighters would kick any Muay Thai fighter's ass shows that they have no idea what they're talking about, because the "style" is essentially the same whereas it is much more developed in Thailand simply because of the level of competition has been built up way more and is therefore much higher than it is in Cambodia.

  • @IngarMaximus i think u wrong. this martial arts came from Khmer empires and from modern Thai or past siem., we Khmer had this martial arts before Siem( today Thailand) came from south of current china to live and create their empire. sorry for my bad english....

  • @IngarMaximus i dont think so. bokator goes back since 600 a.d. thailand became a country after 1500 a.b. muay means one, boran means ancient or old. the terms came from bali or ancient hindu scripts but was originated by khmers since the 7th a.d.

  • Fuck Muay Thai! I am going to a Pradal Serey gym tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

  • the look almost the same

  • the history is that bokator is the name of the martial art and muay thai is like a simpler way of kickboxing , and for ya dumb as thai guys that dont know shit everything was all originated from Cambodia so go search into it an know your dam history. Even Tony Jaa the muay thai martial art guy is part Cambodian, if you ever have a chance to even talk to that guy he'll tell you.

  • @chantrakree this looks like a more hardcore, a mor streetfight version of muay thai

though its still a sport as it looks like...or isnt it?

  • @chantrakree who cares, people are fighting all over the world, even now. There will always be new stuff, and knowing that someone was the first to come up with something over 500 yeras ago just doesnt have any value

  • @chantrakree you are correct, it dates back before the kindom in phetchabun was established...

  • @chantrakree

hmm..both have origins from 1000 years ago,so instead of saying that, think that they are similar.

  • this is muay thai...thats all this is not cambodian martial arts

  • @mehle3 What the fuck? Are you crazy? It is originally Cambodian martial art! Bradal Serey will beat the crap out of MaiThai! My last word, FUCK YOU!

  • fuck you motherfucker fat ass///this is the muay thai tehy copy it thats all..thailand have 100 champion fighter cambodia has nothing some shit like you

  • @mehle3 Cambodia is directly south of Thailand, of course their styles will be similar...

  • hahahaha you don't know what south is then ;)

  • i feel the same its just muay thai practised in another country

  • It's a variation of muay-thai, In 9th cantury Thailand was conquered by thee Khmer people.Pradal Serey is just the name that muay-thai is famous with ,in Cambodia.

  • @Nerkimusaka dude, Thailand wasnt even around in the 9th century...the Thai's were still tribes living in southern china till they migrated to modern day thailand in the 1300s when the mongols invaded. The thai conquered the Khmer/Mon's land not the other way around...And its accepted fact by historians the thais borrowed the culture and kickboxing thats native to all mainland south east asians countrys. Burma and Cambodia have the oldest styles thats documented in stone and writing lol

  • @Nerkimusaka thailand did't appear in SE asia in the 9th century. khmer people took over the chams, and muay thai is khmer art. its from bokator.

  • sooooo similar looking to muay thai

  • what is the difference between this martial art and muay thai? just curious

  • Comment removed

  • well this show is american dumbass if it was from russia those guys would be russians of course theres so fucking hate against americans and we have to take it

  • @crackerHero It is not so much differences. You should know that MaiThai and Brodal Serey came from the same origin, but Brodal Serey is the real deal. For example, if you put MaiThai fighter and Brodal Serey fighter in the same ring, Brodal Serey will beat the crap out of maiThai. That's all I can explain you man.

  • cambodjia shit country...has nothing..this is thailand martial art

  • @mehle3 its cambodia. muay thai is a clone/copy of bokator.

  • ...i refused to train ,the level is very low there and at the time i trained and fought already in Thailand , the train was cost 2500 bath a month and was excellent, why i should pay 50 us 4 a shitty training in a country that was 5 times cheapper than Thailand ? well..here they found those to pussies that will provide to leave a good amount of us dollars for film this commercial program 4 idiot !

  • hey khemer spirit who promote muaythai ? the american? i went to Pnom Phen long time before those guys..around 10 years ago..the "ajarn" asked me 50 us dollars for train me 1 month...

  • @lucathai67

Tai was changed to Siam and Siam was changed to Thailand like European England. Have you ever heard Muay Tai or Muay Siam before? The Thai King is American and the Thai PM is British using Khmer alphabets, Khmer vowels and Khmer numerals to write on all Thai national today so where do you think Muay Thai is coming from?

  • I do not argue where muay thai come from...muay thai is not promote from americans..not here in Thailand ! The level of muay thai in Cambogia is very low ...like the way of driving car or motorbike in Pnom Phen !

  • Many words in Thai are borrowed from Pali, Sanskrit and Old Khmer. It is a tonal and analytic language. The Tai-Kadai languages are thought to have originated in what is now southern China....where do you live ? Khemer was a great culture...Cambodian suffer a lot in the past and still suffering now....i loved the people once i was there, simply, poor but always smiling...

  • @lucathai67

Poor is not only in Cambodia, poor is in Thailand as well, but poor in Cambodia doesn't steal anyone creation like poor in Thailand and claimed belonging to Thai.

Cambodia doesn't have bomb blast in south like Thailand and just yesterday, the bombs blast in Bangkok killing a few Thai.

  • It seems to me that the state of muay thai and pradal serey are very different. In cambodia the training camps are run by tv networks so they're only willing to train fighters that will fight for their shows. It's just another commodity. In thailand however, they embrace the sport as part of their culture and so there's plenty of camps that train for the love of the art. I hope support and interest for pradal serey will grow so the art can flourish.

  • @GGSBY

Thailand was Khmer land and Khmer still live in Thailand today, they love their Khmer arts and Khmer culture, but they were forced to become Thai.

In Cambodia, Khmer arts and Khmer culture are sacred and Khmer don't go showing their Khmer arts and Khmer culture on the streets like Thailand, they must be trained and recognized by school and master before go showing on TV.

  • What about traditional festivals? Anyways, kickboxing and religious tattoo's are practiced by both khmers and thais. Whether or not these originated in srok khmai, the thais are notorious for them. They're doing it right man. We need to provide more incentives for khmers to pick up those gloves. Churning out better fighters will win more respect than trying to convince them this is ours... i'm not saying we shouldn't though.

  • @GGSBY

Khmer and Thai practice kickboxing and tattoos, but Thai must not wearing Khmer Yantra written in Khmer sacred letter and claimed belonging to Thai and that is exactly the point that Khmer always having an argument with Thai about Khmer Pradal Serei and Muay Thai.

  • @GGSBY

Khmer tradition must offer such as Baisei or at least flowers, banana fruits and incense sticks to Khmer spirit, Khmer ancestors, Khmer masters asking permission before celebrate any festival.

Before Tombs Raider movie shot at Angkor, the produce must offer Basei to Khmer spirit at Angkor asking permission to shoot the movie.

  • @lucathai67

The Thai King is American and the Thai PM is British and they both run Thailand, they dont even know who Ramkamhaing, the father of Thai nation today.

Muay Thai is living on the street in Thailand and Khmer from Cambodia can tell because it's written on Khmer Yantra wearing by the Muay Thai fighter.

  • I love it how this show dramatizes everything, from the music to the editing. =D

  • I don't get why they would do an episode of this if they already did muay thai. It's either one or the other.

  • @aa3gunner

Nat Geo just makes another episode of Khmer Bokator that carved on the stone wall of Khmer temples and I'm sure there are a lot more from the French GEO as well.

  • Comment removed

  • @aa3gunner

they're different arts. the history is different.

  • OMG I JUST REALISED IT WAS Antonio graceffo

  • Cambodia is an amazing place. Very poor, rather dangerous and completely beautiful.

Pradal was on tv most of the time I noticed a tv, that or soccer.

  • $15 damn...real tough people here.

  • I find this fighting style hard to differentiate from muay thai. The music, language, culture, and style is identical to Thailand.

  • same here... the fighting style seems similar to muay thai.

  • @lucirz

Muay Thai is copied from Khmer Pradal Serei.

  • @aa3gunner

Khmer are from Southeast Asia and Thai are from China. Khmer already created Khmer arts in Southeast Asia when Thai still lived in China. Tai was the origin race of Siam and Thai from China where the Thai tonal speaking language coming from China.

No one heard about Muay Siam before, only when Khmer was busy at war that American installed its army in Thailand so American promoted Muay Thai which is stolen from Khmer Pradal Serei.

  • this looks almost excactly like Muay Thai, but without grappling. :P

  • @Andreith24

Muay Thai is stolen from Khmer Pradal Serei because Muay Thai fighter got to wear Khmer Yantra.

  • ah, okey. :P

  • muay thai does have grappling in the clinch

  • The art of boxing is indigenious to the whole of S.E Asia, has no connection with India!!! It might be practised in Buddhist monastories now, but was part of S.E Asia culture before Budhism!!! Just like in China the martial dance of the Monkey is recorded in 2000 B.C which predates Budhism, it has a loosely taoist origin. Earlier virgins of the wusu form can be fopund high on cliffs in caves through out China!!! Historical facts!!!

  • Relax, I am just putting out a theory. There is an Indian MA that looks surprisingly like Muay Thai and this is a common theory( Indian grandfather style) Other theorys state that is may have come from China or it may be INDIGINOUS. No one knows for sure! If you have fact pointing to SEA Kick boxing predating Buddhism (5th cent BC), PLEASE let me see it or direct me to it. I would love to see this!!!!!! This would push the creation back a few hundred years from what I suspect.

  • it annoys me alil how the dude keeps saying "kru" like it's the first name of both guys..-.-;;..it means teacherrr..

  • haha look the little dude at 4:56, he gives a thumbs up to the camera xD

  • wth? you dont know anything about fighting. Thailand's muay thai would destroy this cambodia style. thailand didnt steal anything

  • go on. please share your expertise with us.

  • why did the history channel cancel such a show

  • probably ran out of martial arts well i guess they left out sumo

  • all from kungfu..its real

  • man this looks alot like muay thai

  • Thai steals everything from cambodia they stole this style then made their own thing muay thai

  • @hengboy99 lie!!!... muaythai started way before this thing ..
