that bug is called a giant water beetle, it has a very venimous tounge like spike in between his eyes and when he was getting "frisky" with the marker, it was actually him thinking the marker was prey and jumped on it wrapped his legs around it and tried to shoot its venom into it, those bugs are very smart and eat fish, shrimp, water dragons, pretty much anything other beetles, tadpoles are there favorite. and yes they can fly lol as u just seen haha
