  • This quite simply is an absolute rockin tune. Class, Catchy as a cold too.

    RIP Stuart Adamson

  • Top song o7

  • they remind me of XTC, but Scottish

  • R.I.P Stuart, you where pure magic.

  • Think about how stupid your comment is then apologise

  • Actually, now that i think of it...that was pretty stupid.

yes i'm sorry...this guy had some great music out. yeah i'm sorry dude.

  • listen!this is where the 'EDGE' got his "edge sound"

  • i am sitting with piggy macfarlane ( dunfermline ) listening to BC. We dont here feed back from guys/girls from Dunfermline 1983 onwards.

  • You all are SO lucky to be in such a BEAUTIFUL big country as Dunfernline. I'd do anything to see it and experience it. It's the most beautiful area I've every seen. That is where the video to "In a Big Country" was filmed, right?

  • Big Country rocked the California airwaves for quite awhile on the cool stations here, during the 80s. Too bad they weren't even bigger than they were. I love Big Country.

It makes me proud to have Scottish blood in me, as an American.

  • this song takes me back to 1st yr in school :)

  • Me too.

  • im 30, i remember seeing the at big day out in glasgow green 89,still love them

  • This is real Rock and Roll !

  • What can I say? This is GREAT!

Big Country is still one of the greatest in my book!

  • and mine

  • My 2nd all time fave. I'm in USA and Big Country is my all time fave band. The first time I ever heard them in 1983 hooked me for life. Yes, God bless Stuart for all he did for music. I am grateful.

  • that really was a nice coimment

  • what's ur 1st all time fave ? ^^"

  • "In a Big Country" ... dreams stay with you, like a lover's voice fars the mountain side, stay alive.... It's also my all time fave song. I heard it in the Fall of 1983 ... exactly 26 years ago and I've never let it go since. I watch the video sometimes over and over. I love Big Country. It's hard to explain the way I love their music. It's just Love.

  • what is your all time fave? are you in UK? I so regret I never got to see them live. I think Big Country fans are very special people.

  • also, the guitar chords. so unique and distinctive and beautiful. the mix of the drums and the chords and Stuart's voice... what a mix. to me, it is the most distinctive of all 80s music.

  • God bless you Stu... amazing

  • melancholic

  • Stuart had such a great melancholy voice

  • RIP Stuart

    Love Ya.......

  • Just rekindled my love affair with BC after many years. I have no idea why I'd stopped listening to them. Think I may have been in a state of mourning after Stuart tragically killed himself. Anyone who was at The Big Day at Glasgow Green will NEVER forget the truly amazing sound of 250,000 people singing the words to Chance. Tingling neck hair stuff indeed.

  • Have a heart people...... Stewart Adamson (lead singer) hung himself.....

Poor sod! A huge loss x

  • Super Lied

  • it's truth stu hanged himself a couple of years back SAD END FOR A GREAT ARTIST!

  • They thought that fancy silly videos were the way to go, they could have just stood there and sung and it would have been great!!!

  • great song- always makes me feel sad- lost opportunities of youth with regards to love of the fairer sex

  • this always reminded me of Asia for some reason

  • this should have gotten so much more airplay back in 86

  • I agree! Radio stations are so stuck on their hit "In A Big Country". Whenever I request something else from Big Country, they're like OK! then they play "In A Big Country" Go figure! They must be afraid that people may recognize a new hit from and old band and request it again and again. Anythings possible.

  • Look Away = best Big Country song!

  • man I remember chasing cars in high school to this song, what an awesome band, long live the 80;s

  • This band deserved more airplay in the US. Very underappreciated. Their loss!

  • RIP Stuart . Neil Worksop

  • stuart bless you.

  • What a great band. Great guitars, great song writing, AWSOME rythm section. Rock just isn't the same. and what great timing. The 80's sucked. Big Country kicked rock in the ass when rock needed a kick in the ass.

  • great song RIP stuart hope you finally found peace

  • Stuart Adamson was a great writer and singer. What a shame he killed himself. He was a great talent.

  • This music is so great. Thanks for sharing with us.
