How does it go when you rip the throttle on hard from such a low idle? Or does it pick up a fair bit once warm? My XR400 would just cough and stall if i tried to gun it from an idle that low....been down that road! Very nice bike by the way.
@leanlifter1 cheers mate. My Mikuni pumper carb has now arrived :-) I'm rebuilding the engine so cant wait to see how it goes with all the new gear and better carb.
@SparkyDave1981 Ya the new pumper carb will make the XR400 rev more like a 450 and remember you can still do the cam upgrade and BigBore to be on par with a stock 450 but you will have a better power band more usable with allot more low end where the 450 fails.

@SparkyDave1981 You need to upgrade your carb on the XR400 so you can whack the throttle all the way without flooding the motor.
