When I was 12yo in 1979 listening to Dr. Demento in L.A. I wrote 2 letters to B&B and Artie you wrote back long letters thoughtfully addressing all my adolescent concerns and man that meant to much to me. What a class act, and that 12 yo kid is now 40 and saying thanks man!! You're a class act!
Hey Artie, I finally got "Kodovoner" even though I've already got a lot of its songs.
Anyway, it's as good as advertised. I especially like "Superman Will Save the Day" and "I Got a Job" (do I detect a Stranglers influence on that one?) Bravo!
Fear was a very cool band. I remember John Belushi was a big supporter and got them on SNL. (And "Lee Ving" is one of the great rock names ever.) Anyway, Barnes and Barnes are better! And, Artie, you are a force of nature.
I've listened to you guys since the Dr.Demento days of the 70's. To see that you can still deliver the amazingly bizarre is a joy. Genius. Genuis. How I love my pizza face.
"Mama don't sneeze, and Mama can't fart, and Mama can't push me in the grocery cart. Mama can't sniff, but Mama sure smells- but Daddy's just like Mama so you know he never tells... Goodbye, Mama... (G'BYE!)..."
This is the perfect song to start the MIDDLE-AGED MEN project. A brilliant concept. However, this is the kind of material that The Frogs traverse. Do you want to go that deep? Still, I wish you wrote this song when my own Mom was dying of cancer. She would've gotten a kick out of it. (She was a fan.)
Voobaha......From England, Wiltshire, Stonehenge... Big Fans here in my home town.. if you could email your new song to me in mp3 format (Momma'a still here)we would all be ultra greatfull... to : theghost24 at hotmail dot co dot uk ..... many thanks art and artie ....from all your Spazchow heads in Salisbury
Well, not everyone. Just me so far. That was a blatant fib. But it's the thought that counts in these troubled times in which we live. (that almost scans like a lyric! Perhaps Bonnie Tyler might be interested!)
It's already on CD... looooooong out of print... but it's on CD. I wanna know when the Zabagabee long form video is coming out on DVD! My VHS can't last forever...
Don't want pizza, just more of the same cheese please - You guys have still got it! Poetry in motions. YEAH!!!! Would love to see Art in his tutu again BTW. Or did Arties' dog eat it?
lol! You guys always have been, and still are completely insane. And I lurve it! Welcome to the nuthouse that is YouTube! *click* SUBSCRIBED, baby! Oh yeah!

I'm really glad this song ended up on the new album. There is a strange genius in its simplicity... Nobody else sings of such things.
Also it's pretty hilarious how Artie seems startled by his own outbursts. hahaha

I like this better then the album verison.

They're actually playing "You Light Up My Life," but with slightly different words.

Haimer deserves an Oscar or something for his performance here. (You're real good too Bill, especially with "Sure would like a pork chop.")

Very poetic. Should use it on next B & B album (please.)
finylvinyl66 3 years ago
Without a doubt, B & B's best song since "Kiss Me Where It Stinks."
