  • I miss watching this movie I wanna keep watching it over and over again

  • THIS MOVIE TEARS ME IN PIECES

OMG the sad thing is many children and teens go through this :(:(

  • Does anyone happen to know the name of the song playing in the background?

  • One of the best movies ever made or should I say best documentary. Everyone's world is not glamerous. Yes, life can be ugly. Its hard. Its cold. Finally, a real picture of life and the world that I and people like Precious have or are living in every day. We do not live in this world alone, but in a thousand other worlds. And now another world. .. . Precious.

  • Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare , Thats All Her Mom Talks About ... Poor Girll . They Are GOOOOOOOd Actors Thoughh !

  • Dear bullies

See that boy you made fun of for reading a book? Last night his best freind committed suicide

See that girl you called fat? She is starving herself.

See that old man you just made fun of cause of the ugly scars? He fought for our country.

See that young boy you made fun of for crying? His mother is dying

Re post this if you are against bullying. I bet 95% of you won't.

Your life isn't probably as harsh as theirs. thumbs up if you are against bullies

  • I didn't like this movie, I don't why, I just didn't, I found it disturbing that they would show something like this. Even though it DOES happen in real life, it's not required to show it in the movies.

  • @Hteam1422 You have got to be kidding me.....Luckily you won't ever be in charge of any entertainment, so people that live this life won't be put in the dark and kept away from every ones eyes because it isn't pretty.

  • @Hteam1422 Sorry that you'd prefer the world to coddle you but there are people in the world that need to see movies like this.

  • Before this movie came out I used to think my life was terrible and every so often I would watch this movie trailer and realize that my life wasn't so bad and it made me feel better it made my life better it made me better.

  • i cryed my eyes out at this film

  • one of the best movies ever ♥

  • Precious momma a BEAST

  • I hired this on DVD and watched it last night - It is a well-done film. I was calling Clarice's mum a mean ass hoe for most of the time I watched it. But my favourite part is when her teacher tells her that her baby loves her, and she loves her. They are such beautiful, powerful words. It shows how a few sentences like that can make a difference to a person's life. God bless anyone who is being abused right now, I hope someone makes a difference to your lives.

  • is that joanne girl Nicki Minaj? :O

  • I loved the mother character the most, very realistic and accurate... with all the pain and stress shes gone through in her painful life... shes lost all hope, and treats her daughter the way life has treated her to toughen her up and to show her to not set her goals hi, as they are just going to crash down like hers did... She lets her know its not all sunshine and rainbows as it has failed so miserably for her

  • @snopiey12345 , it's a very inspiring movie. the first time i wanted to see it, was because my friends said it was funny. [never saw the trailer or anything] I cried multiple times during this movie at all the ''funny'' parts in Precious. I still yell at my friends for calling it funny. but, yes. it's a very good movie :)

  • i watched the movie first and then read the book. the movie was sad. the book was sickening and more real to me. i thought the book was better. it explained things better.

  • i haven't watched it yet even though i own it because i'm waiting until i'm at that right level of depression. you know, where i'm not so depressed that it's going to leave me worse off, but just depressed enough that after watching it i feel like my life's pretty good. today i'm in a good mood so there's no way i can watch this tonight.

  • @keenanawake That's a good idea. I only went to see the movie because I was told that the acting was superb, in which it was.

But I never want to see the movie, ever again.

  • @reg10x

She says "Light Skinned boyfriend" lol

  • @reg10x she said "light skinned"

  • @reg10x she said light skin. its an important factor in the movie on how many black people feel it better to be light skinned or white. it is heart breaking but as time goes on people will learn black is beautiful.

  • PLEASE SOMEONE! What is the name of this song!?

  • Powerful, fantastic film. Monique did an amazing job. I forget the name of Precious' actress, but obviously, she was magnificent also. Definately a 5 star film, but it will bring you to tears.

  • Wow Wow

  • Mo'Nique is a HELLA good actor, she's my favorite black actress across all mediums of entertainment.

  • I saw this night this movie. It broght me into tears...

  • this is such an emotional film. i anit gna lie it brought tears to my eyes

  • when she had to fight her mama near the end and she threw the baby, that part got me.

  • @ssaturn that was like my fav part!!!

  • i cant wait to see this love mc

  • omg thats so sad, is it out cuz if it is im gonna watch that saturday

  • Con't- You ask yourself, can I see myself doing that to my own child, and the answer is NO! But Precious, like so many abuse victims, dreams of being loved by the abuser. The message at the end that is so inspiring is she says to her mother that she will never see her again.

We feel relieved..... just don't think too much about what happens after the movie ends. A morbidly obese, learning disabled girl with 2 special needs children AND HIV..... yet she pushes onward.

  • to what we know she only has one special need child

  • (con't) dealing with all of that... not unlike the social worker who is left overwhelmed.

If you have ever been abused, this movie will give you some perspective. You will realize your abuse could have been worse, but the mother's explanation of her behavior was a big "what about me?" and I see that as the common thread shared by abusive parents. I have been thinking about it and realize that once you become a parent, you give up trying to make excuses for your own abusive parents. Con't

  • I saw this movie last night.... there is a lot of nervous laughter in the theatre versus tears. It is a powerful story, but it does leave the impression of being the worst parts of three or four individuals patched together into one horrifying story. It almost leaves you numb at the end.... but you can't stop thinking about it.

When "Push" gets heavy, you can set it aside for a day and come back to it... in the movie it is one thing layered upon another and viewers have a hard time (cont'd)

  • i want to see that movie so badly

  • oh my god , yet another sad getto story..her mother was a crazy bitch and should be punished for treating her daughter like that. sad world we live in people, the truth is out there, and it will release us from the shackles that keep us in this living hell...

  • it's more than just "another sad ghetto story". why don't you see it. It's not like any other movie you'll see on this topic.

  • i can't wait to see this movie.

  • omg im crying to this lol

  • that's a real teacher! no one can just become a teacher. being a teacher is a gift from god. that let anyone become teachers these days and half of those teachers dont even care about the students.

  • Someone told me this movie was about a disfigured, inbred girl........wtf.

  • yea...whats the song at the end?

  • this is a very sad movie

  • wat is da song

  • Very rarely is the book better than the movie. It is a good movie but the book outruns it by miles. If Monique isn't at least nominated for something, it will be an outrage. I walked out of the movie so upset at her. She was outstanding and so was "Precious." It may not be a true story but it is someone's story somewhere.

  • the book is based off Sapphire's experience as a social worker in Harlem for 7 years she said she just sensationalized the real stories into a book because she didn't want to put their personal business out there, and this film is already receiving consideration for Academy Awards nominations for Best Picture, Best Director for Lee Daniels, Best Actress for Gabourey Sidibe, Best Supprting Actress for both Monique and Mariah Carey and Best Adapted Screenplay

  • @MSZKSG The book is always better than the movie, what are you talking about??

  • @MSZKSG

errrr... rarley is the book better than the movie?

    Srsly?

  • @MSZKSG Usually the books are better than the movie.

  • @Mdshdw Yeah, I was just going to write the same thing.

  • @MSZKSG "Very rarely is the book better than the movie."

    ????????????

  • @MSZKSG

Rare for a book to be better than its movie? Hardly! I'd say it's just the opposite =)

  • @HelloThar9 true truee

  • @HelloThar9 Isn't comparing a book to a movie a bit like comparing a car to a boat? They aren't really comparable. I mean the music is usually better in a movie. Just saying :)

  • @MSZKSG

....Books are always better than movies.lol

  • @MSZKSG Wrong, the books are always better than the movie.

  • @MSZKSG uhh the book is almost always better than the movie

  • @MSZKSG What are you talking about? The BOOK is always BETTER than the movie!

  • @IQEllis

    Well not always.

I like Forest Gumb movie much more then the book.

  • @IQEllis The Godfather movie was much better than the book.
