I like your video style, with the fading in and out between the guitars that you used. Your audio quality is also a rare find - most covers drown out the rest of the song unnecessarily, while yours lowers their volume just enough to focus on your guitarwork without forgetting about the rest of the band altogether.

So how do you ''learn by ear'?

i played this song on guitar for about 2 hours yesterday and there was some riffs i just couldnt figure out. How long did it take you?

@Loves2spooge696 Hmm, firstly I heard the song a few times with my headphone, then I "seperated" the song into some parts. There are some easy riffs for me as in the beginning (0:19) which I only had to learn by heart but also very difficult ones where I try to hear note for note (2:33). For "hearing it out" I needed maybe 2-3 hours, and after that I practised the song ca. 3 hours. So this evening was gone for Insomnium, haha :D Keep up your great covers man! :)

Slows down the song and keeps the pitch !

I use Capo on Mac, that's a very nice soft. Also has an automatic chord detector (and it can work pretty well).
