Problem...I cant draw, I want to make a line drawing of a photo of house, grass, garden flowers, trees.....then copy it somehow to a flat, thick matte for water coloring by real water colors, easiest way to transfer the line drawing would be .....?
I have bought this software and I love it, I would have loved to have been able to paint but have not ever been able too, until now that is, I have had my software about 3 months now and have learnt so much, its fun and totally amazing. I love it lots. It does have limitations as it is software but over all its fab, I also have found that printing my art onto canvas or even normal photo paper the colours come forward and can look stunning.
You know, if Corel just focused on professional output (cmyk color management would be the first of my problems solved) instead of creating new filters or brushes, or making themselves look like a photo-editing program... They would beat Photoshop in the digital painting world, especially for those who don't rely on filters and actually hand-paint themselves. They have so much potential that isn't being used.
well mister smart... maybe he said all that stuff because he have seen what painter can do, I mean, he works for painter so he REALLY KNOW how it works, if you use PS... good for you, he only says that They complement each Other, but that Painter is an STUDIO, It has all the things you could have in real life, an it simulate all of them really good...
this is fuckin retarded
OMG IT PAINTS FOR YOU
no, it puts a filter over the pic and then plays a gay ass animation.

@corneliuswashington
I think that digital can add a tool, not a substitute.
So if I'm not so good at painting, I can add something to my sketches.
Of course, digital is flat! So I don't expect a miracle.

It's this douchebag again? The one who said Corel Painter is better than PhotoShop in painting.
So he can't even paint himself from scratch and yet he said Painter is better than PS?
This guy is truly talking out of his ASS.

Think of it like using a filter in Photoshop. I use Painter X to draw by hand.
