  • This is f'ing awesome!! hearing the throttle control of each driver through the corner and waiting for that noise to arrive is fantastic! Thanks for posting!!

  • garbage footage.

  • Too bad they have banned mid-season testing... No more nice summer days at monza with F1 cars passing by..

  • you know that this footage worths gold?

  • the should bring these engines back now

f1 engine nowadays sound like sowing machines

    that honda v12 sounds amazing

    straight enginesound porrnn!!!

  • Listen to that Bam Bam Bam when Senna goes past. Excellent throttle control.

  • That's typical Senna. Quick stabs to the throttle on exiting the corner.

  • Great Footage! And Senna aswell!!

  • F1 at his best... really misses that time of F1..

  • that mclaren is a great sounding car. Honda made a fantasic engine

  • Thanks for this fantastic video. I wish there were more gems like this from that special time. I think the early '90s was the end of an era whose peak was in 1990, during which an authentic heady mix of F1's other-worldliness and danger combined with an arcane cutting-edge of technology and drama as it never would again. This video captures the raw, compelling, elemental menace of the cars themselves.

Schumacher brought again a god-like status, but superimposed it on a more anodyne backdrop.

  • The Mclaren was powered by the V12 honda that year, not sound as good as the V10 years before.

  • the quality of the vid is excellent considering the time period!

  • very good vid!! I am glad to see such an old vid ;) Well done!!! :)

  • Miss this era of F1.

I guessed and guessed right at 1:32- "I think this is a Williams coming..." (could recognize that Renault V-10) =D

  • No doubt it's a williams. Was a great era I agree too

  • Totally Awesome. I was born in 1992 and have been a Formula 1 fan since 2005. I wish I was around to have enjoyed those glory days.

  • ur similar to me, i was bron i 1992 and i've watched F1 since i was very young, but not Full time until 2006 British GP

  • where was the lamborghini placed when they first went past at the start of the video???

  • rare footage of Senna ther i would say...

    Good work!

  • Williams "car of other planet" V10 passes at 1:34, sounds like the F1's before 2007

  • fantastic!

  • cazzo assurdo.

  • Yes it's absolutey true that one can easily tell the difference between the engines in those days. And oh my god do they sound fantastic! The V12 - wow! There was so much character then. It's just not there anymore..

Characters, colours, shapes, sounds, sparks, fat slicks! F1 needs that again!

Amazing video from the Golden Era of Fourmula 1! (Never to be seen again)

  • The cars nowadays don't sound and smell like each other. And the reason why they look like each other are the regulations of the FIA

  • Can u hear which V8 is Mercedes, Ferrari, Toyota or Honda?

From this clip it easy to separate all manufacturers engine sounds. Nowadays its all the same = boring.

  • I suppose you've never been at the track recently. If so, you could.

  • True, I haven´t been at track.

But today from tv it´s impossible to hear the differences. On 1992 it was easy when V8-V12 engines were used..

  • Variation in sound has a lot to do with exhaust configuration and harmonics also.

But still, the sounds nowdays are similar. Nothing like in the "good ol' days".

  • Thanks for rare footage from better times.

Now cars look same, sound same, drivers talk same things. Only separative thing is cars colour schemes..

  • Lamborghini was really a class of his own, comparing budgets...MCLaren also tried them for 1993 and Senna appreciated very much the power and grip....

  • Thanks for the vid, the V10 was a Williams judging by the colour of the car and the sound.

  • thanx all!

    Monza part3 is available ;)

  • thanx for the vid. That V12 is wonderfull. I went to a grand prix last year (2006) and the new V8s sound not half as good as that Honda

  • yep! that's one of the best part of the video, he is pushing really hard in that lap ;)

  • Wow trully amazing those v12 engines, brilliant!keep em coming if you got more

  • Senna in the McLaren Honda V12 is SOoooo distinct - he's always "Blip Blip Blip" with the throttle throughout the corner.

  • oh, yes I do realize the engine revs up to dowship. What I mean was Time index 1:19.. that's where you can hear his "blipblipblip"

  • That was cool, a V12-V8-V10 all in a row. neat

  • most beatyfull sounds from earth

  • thanks clay111, yep those v12's were amazing...this weekend I will upload another little clip taken at Lesmo 2, old layout of course...stay tuned ;)

  • thats awesome, i luv old school F1. thanks. wish we had V12's now, they would sound out of this world.
