  • Ich liebe Sabaton... Mein liebster Song ist jedoch "Ghost Division", dicht gefolgt von "Primo Victoria"

  • DOes anybody have an idea why the hell sabaton is a power metal band? i mean... i ponly know hammerfall, dragonforce or such as powermetal bands... to me sabaton sounds completly different

  • Listen to songs like Ghost Division, that's more a powermetal song. Sabaton also make different kinds of osngs, like this one

  • is this footages from real battles of WW1 or from movies abt it ?

  • What happend to the poor soldier at 1:47? did he get hit by artilery?

  • The French soldier got stuck in the mud, and the german soldiers try to rescue him from drowning.

  • @sebas379 I think that is not mud, the color is too pale. I think the French soldier clothing is impregnated with mustard gas :(

  • Only Sabaton can sing about Nazi tank divisions and people dying in war and be awesome for it.

  • Diese Bilder passen voll zu dem Video....Super gemacht und ein endgeiles Lied von sabaton...

  • November 11th, Lest we forget not only the brave Canadians who fought in war, but to all those who put their lives on the line for their country.

  • Nov 11th, 11 A.M. Armistice Day, NEVER FORGET!

  • second world war ... Sabaton can sing about it

  • @piskotek5615 yea and...

  • @piskotek5615 this is about the first one...

  • Yeah, great song!

  • Dudes come on, when all WWI and II veterans have died, we can start a new war and become veterans by ourself! Or just celebrate other war veterans, perhaps Vietnam's war next?

  • Does anyone else think the French helmets look awesome?

  • @PunishmentCorporal They remember me of a fire brigade...

  • That footage...is almost 100 years old...WW 1 and 2 has offcourse allways been history...but now its...like...history from the eons...and what makes it strange...is that we have the old medium...here...right infront of us.

  • @slitor Its a movie

  • @Tonzai2002 what makes you say that?

  • 29 people whitout respect... sad but true

  • its a damn shame

  • never forgive but always remember friend or foe they died for a reason to make war !

  • Fucking railguns.

  • Who could possibly dislike this? Even the song. People in over hundreds of wars throughout history have died for what was right or either stupid reasons. War is stupid.

  • I just read a book "On the west nothing new" from Remark. It is amazing...

  • It's a good book indeed. It's been translated to english as "all quiet on the western front" though:)

There's also 2 movies made of it, one in the 1930's and one in '79

  • @sebas379 Greetings from Bosnia and thank you for the information... :)

  • No problem, you'r welcome

    greets from the Netherlands

  • 29 people did not hear the angels calling their names.

  • Protect and serve. That is my rule.Plus one shot one kill

  • family f long line of marines, my grandpa WWI and WWII told me how the french were great in WWI but becuz they were still recovering by the time of 2 theyre men were somewhat cowardly, but one thing he said, never corner a french troop from wwii they dont like to hold back.. at all.. i guess u can say the same for the french resistance and the Poloc Defense Resistance and other unsung heros of the war but still. RIP

  • Go to France to a town called Verdon, and go out into the woods and see the shell holes over 2 meters deep! still littering the land and visit the forts still bearing the marks of war, a living reminder of what we do to each other then and still today.

This is the best place to see what war does as houses or farms field do not cover the landscape just trees and the ghosts of the past,

500.000 French and German soldiers, all Hero's died in this part of France in WW1 R.I.P

  • Sadly all wars are about money

  • WW1 was an example of how to never fight a war. Any tactician or mud-covered soldier from the day would've told you same thing, in fact, they often did.

The tactics of WW1 were born out of mass ignorance, generals and armies with weapons and vehicles they didn't actually know how to use yet.

  • @InB4Desu thats it weapons go ahead men is usin u think its better today actually army is much better today in tactical but the problems are the same think about media was such as strong as today and everythin been showed showed in tv .... new definition of collateral damage aint it.

  • @TERRYADY

I can't understand what you're saying and I don't think you understood what I said.

  • ww I man vs man ?? great ?? damn you are retarded ,they used toxic gases, flame throwers and the worst weapons ever created in that war

  • LONG LIVE TO A FREE EUROPE!!!

    YANKIS GO HOME !!!!

  • @Astur1488 No one is free, now stop pinning it on America. -.-

  • bring back ww1 times. man against man wow thats great!

  • @generalhans1 In WW1 they had Artillery, Gas Bombs, Flamethrowers, Tanks, Planes, Submarines etc

If you want true man vs man, try the Medieval, Roman and Viking ages.

  • @UberImperialGuard that's not right

age at the time there were siege weapons, bows, crossbows, and fall and fall dug pitch. one man war against man, it was only when there were no weapons were

  • nope it became yoguslavia in 1929 :P

  • The hell they wasn't. they formed yugoslavia in 1929 and was already united with croats and slovenes in 1918 right after WW1. They didn't become an independent state again before the civilwar broke yugoslavia apart in 1991... officially they stuck with montenegro and first broke with them in 2003

  • WW2 ... I will tell you only one word, SERBIA heroe country !

  • @jugoslav851 Serbia wasn't even a country during world war 2, it was a part of yugoslavia

  • @Collinffs did you fall asleep in high school? Serbia was a country during and way before WW2.. the whole reason WW1 started was because the archduke of Austria was assassinated in Serbia

  • @silenthunder85 World war 1 was between 1914 and 1918. Yugoslavia was created 1918 after ww1, after which serbia didn't become independent untill 2006. Did YOU fall asleep in school?

  • @Collinffs yugoslavia broke apart in 1991 bud.. after which it became the republic of "serbia & montenegro".. & yugoslavia was not created in 1918

  • @silenthunder85 Yes the country yugoslavia dissolved in 1991, but Serbia was still a part of the so called federal republic of yugoslavia, or serbia & montenegro which it was renamed to in 2003. It didn't become an independent country, aka just "Serbia" untill 2006.

And yes yugoslavia was created in 1918, only then it was called "the kingdom of serbs croats and slovenes".

That too was renamed, in 1929 when it became "Yugoslavia".

  • 0:10 those are the faces of dead men walking

  • i love this song very much and god bless sabaton this song is a kick ass song.

  • my great grandfather was a dough boy, he fought in the argonne and went from pvt to sgt in no time and after he left the military they begged him to come back by promoting him to Lt. but he refused and he never told his family of his efforts or what happend in his military career. never met him but he's my hero

  • @monkeyman0590 All those who have gone before are our (Current Soldiers) heroes. Be proud and keep his memory alive.

  • at 3:51 and onward it sounds like King Diamond's Abigail a bit

  • derp

  • Read about Serbian army in WW I, and learn about true warriors.

  • Comment removed

  • @socijalista HAHAHAHAHAHA

READ ABOUT CROATIAN ARMY IN HOMELAND WAR , AND LEARN ABOUT TRUE WARRIORS!!!!!!!

  • @kalisto1994

Operation "Storm"? Forcing of civilians to run from homes? Yeah, that was act of true "warriors". :) ...

  • @socijalista

oni su otisli sami a i da nisu oni su stoka koja je prije 4 godine tjerala hrvate iz hrvatske i zato su zasluzili streljacki vod a ne bijeg

    jos su i dobro prosli

  • @kalisto1994 Yes...crotia has proven to be a country of brave people and true warriors....not.

  • @VerHohnert but poland has prove that they are :D they never give up on ww II they make uprise and they fight for freedom :D

  • @burzak111 True, that's why I was talking about Crotia and not Poland :) . Poland was the country suffering the most under the consequences of the second world war and the holocaust and yet it's a nice country nowadays again.

  • @burzak111 poland is the real country. polish people did nothing to ANYONE AROUND as i heard, they just DEFENDED, and did rise against nazis, for their land... what we are all doing now is crap.. i mean thats just my opinion, and i love my country too, also i think there should be no war between Slavs...

  • @B10h4zz4rd0005 heh true they also saved europe in medieval times when turks try to capture europe polish hussars and few other countries soldiers won it

read about battle of vienna ^^ and u right it should be not war ^-^ but war is sometimes needed ...

also a lot of ppl is saying that england and france saved poland and england is a hero cuz their help poland the most

the real thing that they not and some polish soldiers help them in batle of britain

also thanks mate for ur words

  • Everyone stop responding to obvious trolls... I'ts what they want... Attention.

  • Human beings kill and conquer each other since the dawn of time. It's part of human nature and it will always be.

    Freakin' awesome song, btw.

  • totally agree with super tiger lol

  • germans aren't subhuman, you said that because they were defeated, but what about americans with their atomic bombings to Hiroshima and Nagasaki ,that was perfectly human????!

  • @konohamaru010 germans were inhumane so were and are americans , japanese and russians were inhumane so were brits ,french ,every country in histoy at one time. thus humans are inhumane LOL

  • @SuperTigerNo1 Every nation has a darkside. There are no clean hands in history.

  • @NPking911 I know that right? thus being inhumane is human nature!!

  • @SuperTigerNo1 Yeah. I believe we should admire their courage to die for their cause, no matter what their cause was.

  • @NPking911 you are right , glory to all who died in all the wars that occured on earth!

  • @NPking911

That is what makes history. Dirty hands.

  • @Vovk3 Unfortunatly your right. Heroism is hardly remembered anymore these days.

  • @NPking911 Few care about Heroism. But at least Sabaton does

  • @tokorev747777 agree

  • @NPking911 Unless your a hero for the "right" cause. Then your turned into a legend.

  • @NPking911 In War there is no true hero. Blood is always on your side if you choose to fight. I'm truly thankful that there are not so many people nowadays who just die for nonsene like national pride....

  • @PoLs00N I am no soldier, but I would die for my nation if it ment my children and my country men could be safe. National pride is little more than a love for your homeland, and a love for those in it.

Yes... I would die for national pride.

  • @NPking911 You are retarded.

  • @str34mln3r Okay, bro. Whatever you say.

  • @konohamaru010 yes, far more so than the incredibly bloody invasion that would have happened otherwise. It also kept the Soviets out of Japan. Nuclear bombing was the most humane option available.

  • Snik

  • i hope my neigbours like it.

  • This is a beutiful way of honouring fallen soliders. Sabaton have taught me more history than school ever done.

  • Love Germans. Hate nazis.

All set. Faction youtube war GO

  • @Warhamer116 how are you supposed to start a youtube war with that?

  • @zombiegunsmith You can try to see how many douchenozzles are in the video.

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperTigerNo1 Not all germans were nazis lol.

Some Americans are black, so are all Americans black?

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperTigerNo1 You ever visited germany?

Just askin'. Oh, you live in germany.

Open door, yell "I*M A NAZI" and draw picture of it in yo car.

See how pple react to that. I doubt they'll smile to you.

Specifically those who have lost family members to nazi executions.

  • @Warhamer116 see the first comment you made cannot start an youtube war..... mine was a better way I started an youtube war btw I am a pure german :P

  • @SuperTigerNo1 Hmm basically i made comment, that you commented, that started flamewar.

    So it's 30/70 split?

  • Amazing! So beautiful..

  • Anyone who believes the Trenches were glorious or worthwhile is a fool, they were as close to hell on earth as a soldier could possibly get

  • The last WW1 veteran has passed on. Lets not forget him or his fellow Comrades who died in battle!

  • R.I.P To the last WW1 Combat veteran that has passed away today :( <3

  • although the last eye-witness passed away, may the horrors of this war never be forgotten.

For he who forgets his history is doomed to relive it.

    may he rest in peace

  • @sebas379 Amen.

  • @myYTwashackedbyanoob *sigh* I would thumbs that up 10 times. May he R.I.P.

  • @myYTwashackedbyanoob my great grampa was in ww1 he never came back but I am in the army in iraq right now half of my family was military after my great grampa died

  • @myYTwashackedbyanoob

Every generation will make the same mistake and will gain the same wisdom, then die. Thats the way human tragedy continues..

  • @tsayad1986 Wow! never really looked at it that way, but man you couldn't be more true

  • @tsayad1986 wow and to think i was going to honor the dead heroes by joining their rank.......:(

  • @tsayad1986 "We know all the damn silly things we've done for a thousand years, and as long as we know that and always have it around where we can see it, some day we'll stop making the goddam funeral pyres and jumping into the middle of them. We pick up a few more people that remember, every generation." Ray Bradbury "Fahrenheit 451"

And Sabaton do two great things - not only do they "pick up more people", but they do that in a great way. More people like them and finally the day will come...

  • @tsayad1986 They quicken it up by using incendiary on libraries ;)

  • @myYTwashackedbyanoob Dude it's so sad :( Soon all the WWII vets will be gone too...... It's fking sad :(

  • @myYTwashackedbyanoob he was 114jears old right ??

  • yes the angel of death is calling your name to take in your final destination.!!!

  • 1:50 what a poor guy man!

  • jebali vas ustase cetnici balije srbi hrvati i muslimani zacepite vise

  • 25 people don't have a phone.

  • I love germans

  • @alcoholisti Sabaton are Swedish!

  • I went to Ieper last week it was.. Impressive.

  • trolls suck,sabaton rules,end of story

  • @ allamari45 & TheProlup, aren't you shame to exchange such oppinions here, on the face of cruel war madness the beautifull sond tells? Documentary videos you see show you what goes from the way you are thinking! WW1 stared exactly because that stupid ethnic hatred on the Balcans we know to our very pains!... The only we must do is to forgive and forget!

  • Dream of Heaven ANGELS ARE CALLING YOUR NAME

    *Cold shiverings*

  • Super epic intro FTW!

  • 25 soliders died in trench

  • @panzermiskolc let me guess they had the right to kill 60 million people?

  • if you guys are going to talk about world wars and leaders and so on ... find a pure WW1 vid or sumthin n00bs! =)

  • Just Want to Get Things straight, at Minute 1:47 those are German soldiers helping a french man yes?

Just Guessing Due To The Helmets...

  • correct, that's what I see as well

  • @ConorMiller92

Yes, you are right. Those are germans helping french soldier.

  • @mlosmlos Thanks for the reply, Its kinda like hope that not all people are evil eh.

  • @ConorMiller92 yes its hard to believe that soldiers from a nation led by a madman can have a heart

  • @thelittlemind yo this is ww1 not to so germany was not lead by a mad man

  • @thelittlemind , true.

  • @thelittlemind are you saying Kaiser Wilhelm II was a mad man?

  • @UberImperialGuard sorry i ment it as sarcasm :) sorry for the mixup

  • @ConorMiller92 You can't tell that to anyone. They act all Germans are shit

  • @ConorMiller92 That's right. It wasn't uncommon for soldiers of opposing sides to occasionally help each other. There wasn't always personal hatred between each side cause they were both in the same hellish conditions. The ones they were really angry at were the officers who sent them over into no-man's land.

  • Awesome. These guys are epic.

  • ATTERO DOMINATUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • look at 1:50 for a few seconds. Three german soldiers trying to rescue a comrade? No, they'r saving the life of a frenchman, an enemy. despite the fact they wear different uniforms they are still humans, something some people forget these days.....

  • @sebas379 the german soldier were normal people just like you and me....why shouldn't they rescue a comerade...??

the only german who is an ASS was Hitler....:P

  • that's exactly what i was saying. Glad there I'm not the only one who sees it that way.

  • @sebas379 :D

  • @sebas379 I have to thank you. Whenever I heard Germany I always immediatly though of 'Nazi' but after seeing what these germans did there.. You have changed my point of view. Thank you.

  • You'r welcome. glad more people are starting to realise things are not as black and white as they think (or hope) they are. Especially when looking at this war, national socialism didn't even exist when world war 1 raged.

  • Anyone that ever stood in battle can understand what Sabaton wants to say. If you were not competing at battleground just do us soldiers a favour and keep your mouth shut. No soldier is responisble for the actions of their governement. But they are responsible for their own actions. But nobody leaves war unharmed. The soul is broken, dreams are hyunting nightmares. Even your morality is changing.

There is no such thing like an atheist in a foxhole... Angels are calling your name!

  • Let us remember the over 15,000,000 soldiers and civilians who died in "The Great War".There was nothing great about that war.

  • @tenfed1861 no it was an afull war becouse the germans lost the war if the had the word it would be disiplined and it would have been heaven

  • But yeah, nice video and song. It is interesting what thrives a soldier, suffering from cold, "trench foot", lice, diarrhea and all nice things such as those, to run towards machinegun fire and die for the glory of nothing. Kameraden? Perhaps.

  • ...the people of invaded countries such as USSR or Poland. War is hell and the horrifying things have not stopped even to this day. And if i got the point of a certain user correct, you could blame for example the citizens of the USA for mass killings of lets say Vietnamese civilians during the Vietnam war. We are not the ones to blame, we are the ones who should learn from the past and not to do/ prevent horrifying events. But as history has pointed, in some cases it is inevitable.

  • 50 percent of the population around the days of the rise of the nazi regime voted for the National Socialist party, regardless the fact that the party used extreme measures to "grow their ranks". The thought that every single German was responsible for the destruction during 1933-45 is childish and not thought well to the end. It is true that many people could have done something to prevent the happening of horrible events such as mass destruction of Jews or the terror aimed againts...

  • @AllNaturalPureOwnage The German people are responsible for the world's most efficient genocidal campaign that has ever existed. The Russians killed more people but did it with far less efficiency and control. The entire population of Germany was responsible for the concentration death camps that held far more than just Jews.

  • Ehre den gefallenen Helden. Sie fielen für ihr Vaterland.

Ps. wer diesen kommentar für rechts hält hat keine ahnung.

  • very good rythm guitar and vokals,24 emo hipsters dont like.

  • @Doluss I guess @Qwierdel speaks about the WWI not the WWII in the WWI when the soviets attacked Poland, Poland just defended itself and defeated the Soviets and put the Poland border 200km Eastern. Anyways why there are so many comment wars? Enjoy the Music and the Video. Epic song with epic video :P

  • Don't use this comment section to argue unless its about what sabaton song is better otherwise FUCK OFF

  • but what makes the rest of the world better besides your own prejudices. You think Germans are eviler because their crimes affected you more directly.I do hate the nazi's, but I could never hate Germans.I could not blame them for taking the only viable option in their situation. The Weimar Republic was failing them, just like the monarchy.A depression worse than the Great Depression hit them.I would not judge so harshly, one day your people may make a similar mistake.Desperation is powerful.

  • @AllNaturalPureOwnage The atrocities of the Germans during and before WWII were ordered by the government and carried out by the people with their consent, which is far different from the actions of an individual.

  • @AllNaturalPureOwnage so tell me ?shall all slavic countries destroy and anihilate all germanic nations?you know revenge and injustice are powerfull as desperation too...dont be retarded you cant justify 60 million dead people by desperation

  • The French Revolution. Russian Communist Revolution. English Anti-Catholic Civil Wars. The American Civil War. Every major country that fought in WW2 commited terrible crimes against its own citizens as well. They as well killed millions for stupid things such as ultranationalism and seperatism, they as well fought to the biter end for terrible lies and false promises. You only hold a grudge against the Germans because they commited a crime on your people. I'll agree it was a crime, and terrible

  • @AllNaturalPureOwnage Comparing a civil war with the heinous humanitarian crimes of the Nazi regime is simply ridiculous. Any atrocities committed in the afore mentioned civil wars were the crimes of individuals not state sanctioned murder, other than the Soviet revolution that called for the deaths of the rich and powerful. The "depression" that occurred in Germany was the "Great Depression" that hit the entire world and as such is no excuse.

  • @panzermiskolc And one more about tractat in Versailles. They lost war so they should have consequences.

  • @panzermiskolc By germans started wars long time ago before WW2. They were always aggresive.

  • @panzermiskolc So why are you defending them? Are you dumb or something?

  • @panzermiskolc German coward pigs can only attack thein neighbours and always lose. And shut up german goatfucker.

  • @qwe123147 Learn some history you uppity fucking retard pollock. Losing because you are outnumbered isn't exactly the worst reason to lose. You polish were so weak you lived under several different countries without your own land for years. You can go bitch about how we oppressed you and are aggressive, but honestly we didn't start WWI and WW2 only started because the allies unfairly pinned the blame on them. France didn't lost jack shit after Napoleon fucked up the world but Germany got screwed
