Go to France to a town called Verdon, and go out into the woods and see the shell holes over 2 meters deep! still littering the land and visit the forts still bearing the marks of war, a living reminder of what we do to each other then and still today.

@ConorMiller92 That's right. It wasn't uncommon for soldiers of opposing sides to occasionally help each other. There wasn't always personal hatred between each side cause they were both in the same hellish conditions. The ones they were really angry at were the officers who sent them over into no-man's land.

Anyone that ever stood in battle can understand what Sabaton wants to say. If you were not competing at battleground just do us soldiers a favour and keep your mouth shut. ...the people of invaded countries such as USSR or Poland. War is hell and the horrifying things have not stopped even to this day. And if i got the point of a certain user correct, you could blame for example the citizens of the USA for mass killings of lets say Vietnamese civilians during the Vietnam war. We are not the ones to blame, we are the ones who should learn from the past and not to do/ prevent horrifying events. But as history has pointed, in some cases it is inevitable.

The Russians killed more people but did it with far less efficiency and control. The entire population of Germany was responsible for the concentration death camps that held far more than just Jews.

Every major country that fought in WW2 commited terrible crimes against its own citizens as well. Any atrocities committed in the afore mentioned civil wars were the crimes of individuals not state sanctioned murder, other than the Soviet revolution that called for the deaths of the rich and powerful. The "depression" that occurred in Germany was the "Great Depression" that hit the entire world and as such is no excuse.
