  • yeah that vise is crap, i checked one out and it was so hard to move it around and the ajustments just kept getting stuck

  • @goastdoggg I don't know if it's pure garbage for everyone, but for some people it's not going to cut it. An inexpensive vise of that type has very loose tolerances which means that if you're doing work where high accuracy is important, then this thing isn't going to help you do the job right. It may work for some jobs, but if you need precision you need to spend the "three times as much" that they are talking about and get a higher quality piece.

    Too loose, too flimsy. If you want to mill you need to hold your work very securely, with this type of vice either the adjustments (gib strips/screws) are so tight that you cannot move the vice, or there is so much play that the bit will grab your work and move it around = vibration and poor finish. Message me if you want a demonstration of this action.

    These vices are more or less OK to drill a hole as you can center punch and align. But no side cuts or major chatter
