Thank you for a very informative video on the important aspects of producing bio-gas. The technology is pleasantly simple, as all renewable energies need to be. The outcomes of digestion are all beneficial as a clean fuel source, a way of dealing with agricultural and municipal waste problems and a superior way of providing crops with a sustainable and biologically safe fertilizer. We have squandered our fossil fuel supplies, depleted our soils. This technology enables repair to the planet. Piet
this is dumb I hate it this video is ridiculous they use so much energy to make the methane its useless. i hate it....... dont do this anyone go small scale and do not stir just let it sit it will produce its own heat and go through this process naturally... peace out..
I am very much intrested in doing this BIogas Project for my country. I got the political will. Pls get in touch with me for further business discussion.
I have developed an interest in both commercial & small village biomas technology. If more areas develop these wonderful plants, we will very quickly lose our oil dependance & regain our TRUE freedom!
@madjimms not really i love the idea of biogas but theres no way itd ever eliminate the need for oil, having said that it may lend a hand in doing so but there is no way it could do it on its own.
@bettaman94 We lived millions of years without oil, I think we can manage. You can make nearly all required chemicals from plant oils & plant fibers. We must learn to stop burning oils if we are to advance scientifically as a society.
@madjimms yes but you cant rely fully on plants because when we start using our food crops to provide ethanol for transportation or anything else food prices go up and we lose many of the benefits of the alternative fuels.
@bettaman94 We as Americans WASTE a huge amount of the food we grow. Not only that, but we could be growing hemp in the desert & make trillions in profits.
This is impressive, but I believe it will be complicated for individual or small community use. It is very valuable for large project with a good budget. But, the technology is impressive. I wish there are colleges that offer majors in bio-fuel and renewable energies. send me a link if you have information.
I am a big fan of biogas technologies and I have 8 of them. 5 of them I mainly use animal waste as a substrate, 2 with woodchip with one of them mixed with woodchip and slurry and 1 with miscellaneous substrate. I also have solar panels and smallscale wind turbines for electricity and to operate the digesters and domestic/industrial use and soon another farm with bigger scale turbines.
This technology is incredible and now I am slowly unshackling my dependance on petroleum fuels. Good vid.
@ROCKSOLID19@ROCKSOLID19 Thank you for your commentary! We will be in the UK in July at the UK AD & Biogas in Birmingham. Maybe you would like to meet us? Our stand number is 147. The fais takes part on the 6th and 7th of July.
@Krzysean I first started off with governement help and advice before starting off. My first anaerobic digester which required alot of money was very awkward to set up but they are becoming cheaper. I have resources to add to the digesters such as manure and substrates from the farms. Plant waste can also be used but this is in solid state. Adding pure oxygen can enhance methane production but has its obvious dangers.
Grate video. I am an Ethanol fan. but i think a biogas plant combined with an Ethanol plant would make a good combination. I think using biogas to operate the still would make it more sustainable. plus if you had the DDGS closer to livestock that might cut down transportation costs. I can see grate benefits but their is not enough space to really comment on them.
@switchgrassfuel Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately we do not know so much about Ethanol, as we are specialized in Biogas.... Please visit our website bioconstruct. You will find an english version under the com ending.

@bioconstructer Well, they produce more carbon emissions than fossil fuels, they use up space in developing countries that could be used for farming (for example, Indonesia) and they are HUGELY expensive and will greatly dent a nation's wealth.
its unbelievable how many years the likes of Germany is ahead of the vast majority of Europe with regards to biogas. They have thousands of these plants now, the UK may have 50 at push. Usually they plant the food crops as food, and consumption while waste material is created during this process and that is used, along with other material wastes. It doesn't go from being gathered to directly waste... cause then yes that wouldn't make sense.

@YaOkRight
No the reason why we still rely on fossil fuels is simple - it's cheaper
dude you sound like a maniac...if you want to get hydrogen from HHO machine you've got to use more energy than you can get from burning it later...
biogas is different since you get something from nothing...
of course not literally - but you can get it from sewage, etc.
normally you'd have to pay someone to dispose of it but you can convert it to biogas and then use it for heating or electricity production
