@Blueloire Andy Rourke most certainly was a smith. Crucial to the sound and some of the greatest smiths songs. Who are you to judge, he's an exquisite bassist.
@Blueloire I think you may be slightly ignorant on the matter. However, Andy Rourke DID write the majority of the bass lines. Mr Moz very sneakily only put his and Marr's name on the document for his own very lude, selfish financial gains alas the court processes soon followed. Since when did his financial standing matter in something as beautiful as the smiths anyway? I'm sorry sir but Rourke was definitely a Smith.
@Blueloire Like saying hooky wasnt in new order, just because he didn't sing or play guitar like ian or barney. None of them were even contracted to factory, as tony wilson said 'they had the right to fuck off at any time'
Bit difficult to live up to the heights of last year's line up.... disappointed this year didn't have as many one-off memorable moments.... disappointed is the word.... the atmosphere just wasn't there like the other years....
Yeah. I saw the video last year. That was probably music history made... not this year as Andy Rourke said. I don't think you would beat that, not unless you had all the massive Manchester bands all on the stage at once doing something. But I still think people singing Love Will Tear Us Apart was immense :)
THIS WAS AMAZING. The whole crowd shouting Love Will Tear Us Apart. Last night was quality. Definitely going next year, shame about the Verve and Liam Gallagher.
It's NOT Joy Division without Ian Curtis -- just a cover including some guys that played with him...

@narcher91 he wasn't a Smith, Marr wrote all the music and their deal stated that the Smiths were Morrissey and Marr the other two were hired hands.
