  • @colakid1960

Blowing in the wind is really good, but i must agree that Fogerty sounds better. I'd love to see them both together in a concert!!!

  • i thank bruce springsteen for introducing me to CCR

  • in my opinion this is a perfect cover because it took bob dylan's master song writing and mixed it bruce springsteens voice (dont get me wrong i bob dylan sounds great too)

  • I always love to see a new post before some idiot tells me why he or she doesn't like a song, I have seen negative comments about original songs, which confuses me, which makes me believe that there are just people out there who don't like anything

  • Amazing cover, amazing artist, amazing rock...

  • Great rendition...Blowing in the wind...the truth prevails...

  • The brilliance of this song is that it still rings true. "How many years can some people exist before they're ALLOWED to be free?" A truly damning and frightening indictment of what passes for humanity.

  • I could not love him more. Beautiful man, beautiful voice.

  • @menski214 what 'band' do you mean. it was a bunch of headliner acts trying to raise awareness of human rights

  • @holitipu it is not for awareness coz they do nthing to there songs.. they just sing.. sing sing and sing..

  • @menski214 they are singers that's what they do !!! what's your point ?

  • @menski214 thats kinda the point...

  • The Boss at his greatest looking period!

  • Bruce, lo mas grande!! Barcelona ama al Boss

  • Bob Dylan would be proud of this rendition, anyone who thinks otherwise isn't a fan pf either. So beat it.

  • @evxdaddy very nicely put and very true!

  • @evxdaddy you hit it right mate, bless your soul!!!

  • @evxdaddy No, Bob Dylan hates this song. I theorize it is because it is so famous, but he once said he wrote it in fifteen minutes. He hates the attention this song brings

  • @evxdaddy i agree bob dylan did a top job and this is one of the best covers ever?

  • Amazing !

  • old america

  • czlowiek naprawde posiada tylko to,co jest w nim,a we mnie caly czas jest muzyka Bruce, dziekuje

  • I really hope even just for egoist reason's that The Boss and that other living legend Mr Bob Dylan have come on here and read some of these comments, I'd imagine they'd be very amused - There are two few recording artists who can do what both of those gentleman do and Bruce "doing" Bob is still Bruce" doing" Bruce so all of you who have commented in the negative just remember it's the music and the songs & those songs will last an eternity. Isn't it better Bruce singing Bob than some pop "idol"

  • Oy...the 'working class' springsteen...what a putz!

  • He ain't called the boss for nothin' cause damn that guy can rock

    This is awesome

  • talented, talented musician and performer...The Boss still rocks...

  • Awesome this is... sounds superb!!

  • I'm no one but if you believe in God, whatever name He may be given by your priests and your enemies, you know He endowed Man with poetry, physics, literature, mathematics, music, painting and all earthly arts and sciences to create beauty and reach truth and eternity in heaven and in hell.

And if you don’t, you can still name “God” those talents of the gifted ones. And smile and sigh and laugh and cry.

  • @Escal21

God is a concept by which we measure our pain.

    John Lennon

  • @jx14aby

John Lennon was one of the Beatles and he was a great musician. Then he married a fascist idiot. What he may have said, or even thought, matters to me just as much as the colour of Madonna's shorties.

  • @Escal21

    All we are saying

    Is give peace a chance.

    John Lennon

  • @jx14aby

I'll definitely go for and with this one.

Thanks for getting back to the rrots jx14aby

  • @Escal21

    Thx.

    Cheers from los angeles.

  • Best beer drinking music around

  • no comment!!!!! Merci papa....

  • so beautiful!!! bruce, the best!

  • He's just hot. Sexy and an awesome musician.

  • What fun Bruce!

  • 2:43 if the boss tells you to do something, u better do it.

  • Does it better than CCC.

  • He sounds like Jakob Dylan. Wouldn't it be a beautiful surprise if Jakob sang at least one of his dads songs at his concerts?

  • @porkchopenvy Jakob has done Blowin' in the Wind before.

  • @4FabBEATLES Really when?

  • It's true what they say about music, it touches people and brings back memories. Haven't watched this video in a year, and watching it takes me back to the me of early 2009.

  • This is the best one man performance ever, if anyone have the chords for bad moon rising, it woulb be most apriciated...the man is for shure from outher space..thanks Bruce..

  • Is it at Stockholm stadium?

  • yeah bruce I got my shit together. i listen to yuo free on youtube.. does anyone know why youtube sends out error messages after 3 .4 posts? are the berserk or plain crazy

  • Great performance at the Vincennes Castle !

  • Konge,stein bra;-)

  • Springsteen sings Dylan and CCR?! :O This makes him even more awesome. Love the Boss! :D YouTube rocks for having these kind of rare clips!

  • BRUCE! YOU ARE REALLY THE BOSS!!!!!

  • p-u-r-e TALENT....

  • Bruce is simply the best!!!!

  • the best version of blowin in the wind ever¡¡

  • I couldn't agree more. I listen to this version several times a week!

    Springsteen 4ever!

  • What's the year of this performance? He looks really young but it doesnt seem like darkness or born in the usa big tours...perhaps during the tour that followed nebraska?

If anyone knows please let me know!

  • @ambulante7

look at this video !! Live in Paris, France. I read it was in 1988...

  • It was during the Tunnel of Love tour, 1988. He performed a couple of songs along with Clarence Clemons at this same concert.

  • Comment removed

  • @ambulante7 this was sept 1988 as part of the amnesty international human rights tour that he did alongside tracy chapman, sting, peter gabriel and youssour n'dour. check out his version of dylans 'chimes of freedom' from the same tour. he does dylan better than dylan (and i like both as creative artists) but bruce has stacks of charisma and is in a different league when it comes to live performances

  • @holitipu glad to find someone else out there who knows what they're talking about. Unfortuantly I'm old enough to remember this and your right Dylan is a totally different sort of artist to the The Boss. On stage having seen them both of them quite a few occasions Glastonbury 2009 last time for Bruce I can say hand on heart Springteen is miles ahead of Dylan - show wise a complete different class covering different artists "London calling" from The Clash for instance.

  • Well how many years can a mountain exist

Before it's washed to the sea ?
And how many years can some people exist

Before they're allowed to be free ?
And how many times can a man turn his head,

And pretend that he just don't see ?

Well the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I hear "And pretend that he just DON'T see" shouldn't it be DOESN'T ??

  • Yes, that would be grammatically correct.

  • Well how many times must a man look up

Before he can see the sky ?
And how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
And how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?

Well the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

  • Lyrics differ from other singers :

Well how many roads must a man walk down

Before you can call him a man ?

How many seas must a white dove sail

Before she can sleeps in the sand ?

And how many times must the cannon balls fly

    Before they're forever banned ?
Well the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

  • These songs are sheer pleasure for a geographer! brilliant!

  • On the request sign for Lost In The Flood in sweden it stood "How many shows must a man walk down before he listens to Lost In The Flood?" ;D

And another thing ... the perfomence would be completed if the crowd singed the last chorus at 2:46 ... Would sound so good.

  • Just sheer brilliance -The boss is a legend

  • Behind Blue Eyes

  • Well sung Boss! the best in my opinion...with all due respect to Bob...

  • If I'm ever going to get into Dylan's music it will be through Springsteen and this has got me interested :D

  • Man get into Dylan

  • the unmistakable and awesome springsteen sound was great with "blowing in the wind"....a different take on "bad moon" for me...i think the audience liked it alot...great vid...thanks for the post...5 stars.

  • "How many roads must a man walk down..."

    Homer Simpson: "Seven!"

    :D

  • @MetallicAddict15 "Dad, its a rhetorical question."

    Homer: "Rhetorical, eh?? Eight!"

  • It's great to see such an icon cutting loose and doing a tribute to some of HIS icons. It's awesome to see him up there solo, when he's got the greatest backup bands in the world behind him.

  • Love Bruce Springsteen, love Bob Dylan and LOVE his cover alothugh I am not keen on artists covers (westlife, Atomic Kitten...I can go on) I think you really have to be a great artist yourself for people to respect your covers of songs...

  • 68kira knows what she is saying.

  • great!!

  • i am certain both Bob and Bruce would be amused at the comments on here. Bruce didnt sing these for you and U-tube, he sang them for all those paying people in the crowd and in that context he is simply entertaining HIS fans with songs he obviously likes by artists he admires. I love bands i go see throw in some covers and because i'm there as a fan i just enjoy, doesnt cross my mind to compare and im sure those there didnt. i love Bobs and CCR.. i love Bruce.. so i enjoyed it for what it is.
