pure class from the best performer ever to grace this planet. generations may talk of the beatles, the stones, the who, etc catch the boss live. BELIEVE
in my opinion this is a perfect cover because it took bob dylan's master song writing and mixed it bruce springsteens voice (dont get me wrong i bob dylan sounds great too)
I always love to see a new post before some idiot tells me why he or she doesn't like a song, I have seen negative comments about original songs, which confuses me, which makes me believe that there are just people out there who don't like anything
Bruce is one of the last big musicians of our planet. I saw him in concert in Athens beginnings 1980. Unfortunately such singers do not exist anymore. Bruce the BEST.
Hey Bruce,I'm 24 and i grow up with Creedence Clearwater..i couldn't love you and your poetry...So..there are only 2 things in this moment to be proud of my self...your grandma was italian, just like me(i've no other things to be proud of my roots in this moment)...and i was born in the 1984..the year of born in the USA.i remember...My father use to listen that album in the car...Love you Bruce.Thank you man...a hug
bruce springsteen is one of the biggest badasses alive, the guy is freekin amazing, so much talent, this guy is the real deal,a true musician, long live bruce springsteen and his amazing music, he gtting older but he is still rocking hard
The brilliance of this song is that it still rings true. "How many years can some people exist before they're ALLOWED to be free?" A truly damning and frightening indictment of what passes for humanity.
@evxdaddy No, Bob Dylan hates this song. I theorize it is because it is so famous, but he once said he wrote it in fifteen minutes. He hates the attention this song brings
I really hope even just for egoist reason's that The Boss and that other living legend Mr Bob Dylan have come on here and read some of these comments, I'd imagine they'd be very amused - There are two few recording artists who can do what both of those gentleman do and Bruce "doing" Bob is still Bruce" doing" Bruce so all of you who have commented in the negative just remember it's the music and the songs & those songs will last an eternity. Isn't it better Bruce singing Bob than some pop "idol"
I'm no one but if you believe in God, whatever name He may be given by your priests and your enemies, you know He endowed Man with poetry, physics, literature, mathematics, music, painting and all earthly arts and sciences to create beauty and reach truth and eternity in heaven and in hell.
And if you don’t, you can still name “God” those talents of the gifted ones. And smile and sigh and laugh and cry.
John Lennon was one of the Beatles and he was a great musician. Then he married a fascist idiot. What he may have said, or even thought, matters to me just as much as the colour of Madonna's shorties.
It's true what they say about music, it touches people and brings back memories. Haven't watched this video in a year, and watching it takes me back to the me of early 2009.

@holitipu glad to find someone else out there who knows what they're talking about. Unfortuantly I'm old enough to remember this and your right Dylan is a totally different sort of artist to the The Boss. On stage having seen them both of them quite a few occasions Glastonbury 2009 last time for Bruce I can say hand on heart Springteen is miles ahead of Dylan - show wise a complete different class covering different artists "London calling" from The Clash for instance.
Before he can see the sky ? And how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry ? And how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died ?
Well the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

Are you ready to die?
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a woman with lust you have committed adultery with here in your heart. have u done that?
If God judge’s u by the Ten Commandments will u be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? Does this concern you?
Do u need a Savior from your sins?
Jesus came, lived a sinless life, died (for our sins) and rose again on the third day.

Well how many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea ? And how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free ? And how many times can a man turn his head,
And pretend that he just don't see ?
Well the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
I hear "And pretend that he just DON'T see" shouldn't it be DOESN'T ??

Yes, that would be grammatically correct.

Well how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ? And how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry ? And how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died ?

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Lyrics differ from other singers :
Well how many roads must a man walk down
Before you can call him a man ?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she can sleeps in the sand ?
And how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned ? Well the answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Lefty singers are very adept at using music to engineer the ideas of young people to the extent of brainwashing.
(Did you know, that in so-called 'hymn practice' at school, we kids were made to sing Bob Dylan and Ralph McTell songs in the 80s?!)
Is this why Labour MPs are so keen to fund special recording studios with public money?
Let's hear behind the scenes of a session with my own Labour MP Johnathan Leftwinger!
