  • i luv this song we r doin it in r nxt concert i play flute i luv r part

  • hmmm you have alot of trombones could you lend us some we only have 1 XD

  • I'm gonna be playing this tonight in All County Honor band!

  • ♥ and 6th grade? That's when you learned this? Everyone in band at my school is learning this in 8th grade.

  • Nice Playing! I love this song! (Low Brass and Woodwinds FOR THE WIN!)

  • We have to play this in our next concert! XD The only difference is the clarinet have to do the batman part by ourselves. :\ We just get to show off, i guess.

  • Im playing this for my spring concert! :)

  • I play the clarinet in this EXACT band

  • Playing this in band. Remember it may self destruct.

  • You guys are saying this song should be played this way or that way but its really up to the band director and what he wants to do or what he thinks is best for the band.He also has to take in account where they are playing at and what he thinks the band is capable of playing. So playing it the RIGHT way is just a generalization .

  • Bass guitar in my band = me

  • I go to tomlinson

  • ahh i remember playing this song i was in 8 th grade now im in 11th and still play this song

  • We are playing this song in my band. I am in 8th grade but my band consists of 6-8. I think this song is good for beginners (6th) but just way to easy for oldder ppl. I do like the song alot tho.

  • I'm a trumpet player in a band of more than 100...Hard work...

  • Im a trumpet player in this school

  • Im in the same school and playing the same pice but in this one i think the bells overplayed

  • i did notice that during the first "verse" the first note wasnt really staccato and the phrase where it sounds like the old Batman theme DOES need to be staccato(and the last note needs to be Marcatto) and they need to be quieter on the intro

  • 1:14 - 1:18 and 1:21 - 1:25 is WAY too loud. It's supposed to be as if the trumpets and high brass are sneaking up on the low brass, then the low brass realizes this, runs away, then they sneak up again, then run off. And we play it a bit faster in band and the end note, way too long. it should last at least 2 beats, but less than 5. Other than that its pretty good.

(I'm am a trumpet player, btw. one of the four female trumpet players out of about 12 trumpets)

  • Is that mr. Jeffries?

  • I play clairnet and im playing this for a concert i go to tomlison!!! xD its really easy to play for me anyways! :D

  • Bells is the best part for this one! :D

  • Were playing this for all district band and i cant wait to play it, and isnt the part that sounds kind of like the old batman theme song supposed to be Staccato? or are they playing it staccato and im hearing weird

  • MEOW

  • im at the school who played it and they were in 6th grade when they played it we are doing top secret this year going to be so awesome

  • we are doing this on our winter 7th grade concert on monday! i play the trumpet

  • we are doing this in our winter concert on monday! ps im in seventh grade

  • Comment removed

  • this sounds pretty good

  • im in percussion and the xylophone sound awesome

  • They sound so good!

  • What grade were u in this when u playes this this is pretty good

  • Dang, I feel so lame. we are doing this in 8th grade...

  • i played this in grade seventh band :))))

  • Playing in our spring concert. Trumpet is awesome!

  • We're playing this in band, :D I love it. It's so fun.

    ps. Alto Sax is best(:

I really liked this. You guys are awesomee.

  • anyone know where i can download a track of this?

  • Lol we did this, im in 6th grade. Im a clairnet, loved doing this song and Cardiff Castle.

  • Hmm we didn't have a piano in ours, and I also noticed you don't have a tuba we have two and an overwhelmingly large amount of baritones haha. We have a lot of trumpets too, and few percussionists. We are low on wood wind, one tenor sax, two alto saxs, two clarinets and one flute, so this was an intresting piece how it turned out

  • Yeah we didn't have a piano either. Now that we're in 7th grade we have the same amount of woodwinds as in this video, same amount of Trombones, much fewer Baritone Horns, one Tuba, same amount of percussionists, one Tenor Sax, same amount of Alto Saxes, and the same amount of Trumpets.

  • Nice William

  • my brother is in 7Th grade and plays the trombone. he going to play the same song at his concert.

  • Hey we played this in our 7th grade band:] Unfortunately I was the only flute in a band of about fifty students so it was hard to hear me! It was lots of fun to play but we had to play it faster.

  • Nice! You were the only Flute? Aw that stinks. Well I'm glad to hear that it was fun to play anyway.

  • Haha yea the disadvantage is that the flute part had a super awesome trill part

  • my music teacher made us play super fast, so this seems slow to me.

  • Oh really? That's interesting. Was it really difficult for you guys to play it super fast?

  • @poppycorncat ya me too but i loved playing fast

  • lol i it might have just been the piece but i didnt here any dinamic change :( srry

  • Yeah it's alright my band director and I noticed that. Well then again we were in the 6th grade at the time.

  • I call it 00Jazzbat

  • As we say in my Italian class.... Motto Bravo!

  • woah...you guys are really good

we played this in are winter concert on the 17th, but our school is really small (like 100 in each grade) and we dont have a variaty of instruments...especially brass. We only have 1 trumpet, unless the euphonium is one (i dont really know) but thats all we have of brass....but you guys we really good, my band teacher wanted to show us what the song sounded like, so he looked it up and we listened to you guys :D

  • Thanks! Good luck with your band with the size that it is!

  • How many people are in you band?

    It looks like alottttt!

  • This was from last year. At that time I believe we had close to 130 students (including me). Now I believe we have almost the same amount as last year.

  • does your whole grade play?

or do you get a choice to play?

  • We have a choice on what music class we want to take.

  • music class?

    so its like an elective?

we have music as a special, but not for the whole year.

  • I guess you could say that yes.

  • I think that your band is really good... Much better than ours... -_-"

Is your school concentrated on music? Becoz you're all very good and this piece doesn't seems like an easy one... (sorry for bad english.. I don't really speak that language ^^")

  • Why thank-you! Your english seems very good but becoz is spelled b-e-c-a-u-s-e. Nope this school is a normal american middle school grades 6-8 with math, science, social studies, english (language arts), and other classes. This was taken in May when our this group was in 6th grade and now we're in 7th grade and we're even better than before. Our winter concert coming up on December 15th is supposted to have 4 pieces played by the band but I don't know about the orchestra & chorus (choir).

  • That's good! Our orchestra is preparing the piece Torrents of Fire by Larry Neeck...

I asked about the school bacause you are 115 people (I think it was written in another video) and you are all syncronized...

And our winter concert is the 16th hehe~!

  • Oh god... I'm in orchestra concentration and our group isn't that good (in practices)... You're all good.. Being 115 and syncronized *thumbs up*.

Our winter concert is the December 16th (hehe) and we have Torrents of fire, another piece of Larry Neeck. This compositor is pretty good *_*

  • that was cool im playing that now in band but do you guys tap your foot

  • What do you mean about tapping your foot?

  • That's what I was talking about, too... Tap your foot to keep up with the director. Do y'all not do that?

  • does this band director... teach y'all to not tap your foot and just count completely in your head?

  • No but what's wrong with that?

  • There's nothing wrong with it, I'm just surprised y'all stay together and sound good like it. I really love this performance...

  • Well thank-you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Don't forget that there's a two part chorus video too if your interested!

  • What grade level is this band? Sounds really good for a beginner band... more like the way I sounded at the ending of beginner band. Is this sheet music hard? It sounds like.. there are several scales in it. And I'll check that out, thank you.

  • We were in 6th at the time of this concert. We're now in 7th.

  • Sorry for asking so many questions, but... What school/state is this?

  • That's ok! It doesn't matter.

  • My band played this last year! It was funn :] But yeah, you guys are pretty good! Even though this song is like super easy ha (:

  • Thank-you! Actually this song is more for 8th graders and we played this in 6th! It was easy for us low brass players but everyone else had a little more difficulty.

  • This song had the most fun bells part and was the funnest to play and i think we did a pretty good job at everything.

  • Except for the end of the introduction of Harrowgate Festival; yeah I'd say you guys did pretty well in the percussion section.
