I remember watching this on Top Gear. The driver was interviewed shortly afterwards and described himself as "a bit sore" - otherwise perfectly OK.

I recorded the Top Gear segment on VHS, sadly lost some time ago. Just before the impact the footage swapped from BBC cameras to what looked like amateur footage - much closer location, on the same banking I think. Would love to get hold of that.
