  • Sensational! The female backing group are superb. OOOOOOOOOOO!!!YAYAYAYAYAYOOO!!

  • Why the hell does this video have less than a million views? I must have viewed it half a million times.

  • @Greymans, make that saying into a shirt add ill buy it <3

  • Boring boring. Where's my Dimmu Borgir album at?

  • ROB D!

  • screw what the song means, just let it make love to your ear holes.

  • The song is about holding onto feelings from your youth going on into adulthood. Jim James liked black metal when he was a kid.

  • Oh I get it. It's white guys playing black soul style music inspired the 1970's.

  • Holding on to newdad rock

  • Sounds an awful lot like Owner of a Lonely Heart.

  • it's pretty much sounds like he's telling black metal to fuck off , idk don't fuckin' hate on my comment and try be die-hard about it , but black metal isn't that great ,

  • Where's the black metal? What is with this repetative bullshit?

  • @Cyconik ill kill u

  • if being a hipster is what it takes to listen to good music like this, then dammit... i'm a hipster

  • By far the best song/album released in 2011.Treasure among the Bieber/Gaga junk.

  • a top song for the year

  • Hipsters are just a myth guys we can all enjoy da musac

  • I Am Thai I Like song and be proud Very Much

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuufffff

  • i love this. i sway my body back and forth with my eyes closed and my hands up as well and i get a feeling of some magical hanging over me, like a fog cloud sprinkling pixie dust. But watching the music video and listening to the song i don't get that same feeling, like something doesn't correlate, but the video and the song itself is still just so amazing.

  • i love how this sounds so 60s and 70s!

  • Nice!

  • This is Old Thai music

  • so awesome!

  • Silly rappers, music is for talented people.

  • @WIMEvideos Why is rap not equated with talent? I actually marvel at rap artists' ability to rhyme yet somehow manage to get their message across. Their quick tongue and creative rhyming and association is something I probably could not do. Can we just end this stupid competition with genres-not to mention with artists or what's "mainstream" or what's "hipster". It's getting old.

  • @WIMEvideos LMAO u sir deserve my like

  • i played this song for my grandpa.

his reaction: "now this is some good music"

    he is 72

  • @tdmsocer56 Because this sounds like something that was made in the 60's, or 70's.

  • @tdmsocer56 I don't think it counts when it's a cover of a song from 40 years ago, except for the lyrics of course, they're new.

at least make it a challenge, my dad liked this song by Cronian for example watch?v=7QJd3Oi0ypI which is post-black metal. and he's 62. I also played Touch me and I think I'll scream part 2 for him, which is super easy to like for all ages.

  • Despite me not being a fan of pop music, it saddens me to see a popular band take hold of something that wasn't supposed to be part of pop culture and bring it to the mass public. A lot of you think I'm a "troll" or just hating on a band that probably made a lot of money doing this, but if you seriously are a black metal fan and see what it stands for, you can see this is a sort of taking advantage of the genre and atmosphere that is black metal.

  • @NecroLust1349 black metal ffor the most part is shit anyways, so its not like its ruining anything

  • @TheGerthax It isn't shit to the fans that listen to it. You can easily say it sounds terrible, but it's a music most don't have an ear for. That's what makes it special, that its not for the mass like this band brands it in their music. It does degrade it as just something some pissed off teenager can vent to, when it's a lot more than that.

  • @NecroLust1349 just the lyrics for the most part are just dumb. the musical side of it i do enjoy listening to though, many of the bands are EXTREMELY talented musicians... just for the most part i cant stand most forms of black and power metal. im more into prog

  • @TheGerthax What makes you think the lyrics are dumb? Yes I also believe majority of black metal musicians are talented, for not only playing fast but some play very technical. I don't really like power metal either, except for Sinergy, but that's just for the music, I quite hate the vocals.

  • @NecroLust1349 Black metal isn't technical, it's just well structured.

  • @MorkaGraven It can be technical with the guitar and drum work depending on bands. Not all bands sound alike. And not all of it is well structured, if it was it would probably have a larger fan base.

  • @MorkaGraven How the guitars and drums are layed over each other is what makes it appear technical, which is all structure related. I've never really come across a tab that was overly complex. It has simple rhythms and makes use of few notes.

  • scope the time on this song.

  • loving the vocals with that guitar riff sounds awesome but they do it to death, needs to change when it goes into the chorus...still a good song though!

  • Absolutely fucking brilliant.

  • this song should be in the HBO series bored to death easilyyyy

  • This remind me of Doug Funny's Killer Tofu. But with soul. And done by another band.

  • Silly hipsters , black metal isn't for you .

  • @TheAntih No, black metal are reserved for the silly people, only.

  • @TheAntih damn...

  • I was front and center for a concert of theirs last night.... my ears are still ringing. They were amazing

  • Que bonitos recuerdos me trae esta cancion del Capital : )

  • How is it that a great song like this has less views than a shitty band like Coldplay?

  • @xgmb45 hey coldplay is a good band and its because people don't know good music anymore they just follow each other and listen to what ever the other is listening too

  • @xgmb45 Both are great bands. I just heard Mylo Xyloto & loved it.

  • Esta bien poca su madre!!!!

  • Siamese soul thai pop spectavular vol.2-60s/80s

  • So inspired. The guitar riff is kinda Black Metal, but its pop, but then it's not...

  • @rainbowskelter Huh? I don't hear any black metal in it at all.

  • @MorkaGraven My pointy ears can hear it..

  • @rainbowskelter i dunno man i listen to a lot of black metal and i can't hear it

  • @xPsychoxClownx the guitar riff is very true black metal if you pay attention it reminds me of first burzum's war nargaroth pisen pro satana, windir fagning

sounds like those songs but slower and with a lot of progressive rock on it

  • @mortician001 weeell while i disagree with your comment i infinitely approve of your name. Mortician fucking rules.

  • @xPsychoxClownx yep, mortician is a greta band, but really, tryimagine one of those songs i told you with an slower tempo and is like the guitar riff

  • @mortician001 i think that just about any guitar riff can sound like black metal if you want it to.

  • @xPsychoxClownx i don't think so, but may be you're right; i mean, maybe i hear the black metal because i'm trying to hear it

    who knows

  • @mortician001 yeaa but either way just keep listening to bomb ass fuckin music. that's all that really matters

  • Comment removed

  • ...who else thought that my morning jacket had actually made a black metal song

  • what wheres the fucken corpse paint!!!

  • Was expecting the DJ to tell me that Paul McCartney wrote this one (sounds like some of his stuff of Ram).

  • Where's the black metal? This is a pop song. :)

  • @chozenn1 dumb

  • @bloodfang100 Clever retort, little girl.

  • This is my new prayer

  • OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOYEYEYEYEYEYEYOOOOO!!!

  • Kasabian?

  • ...a car has nothing on a Home system; some Krell mono~blocks with badass B&Ws!!!

  • I can see they used their black metal influence in their music.... Lol.

  • i thought it was suppose to be black metal the first time i looked up the song. such dissapointment

  • I came expecting black metal.

    I am disappoint.

  • @Ranguvar13 DISAPPOINTED! YOU'RE DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS SONG ISN'T BLACK METAL.

I AM DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR 2ND GRADE ENGLISH TEACHER, MY TROLLISH BEHAVIOR, AND MY EXCESSIVE USE OF CAPSLOCK.

  • the video is pretty dam awesome

  • i agree with sinbysin666

  • Fuck you. Fuck this band. 666.

  • I feel like a hipster enjoying this...

  • @sinbysin666 i know rite

  • @sinbysin666 I'm a metalhead, it just happens I love obscure music, cycling and coffee. >.>

    Hipsters made me look bad.

  • @MorkaGraven As long as you're not making use of Apple products! :o

  • has a blind melon feel to it

  • Dear Music Choice, please stop playing this annoying ass motherfucking song every 10 minutes on alternative/adult alternative. Thank you.

  • this song is so kvlt

  • This song is amazing. One of the only good "contemporary songs"..

  • This song sucks. ugh

  • This album is pretty good, but this song just sounds like "Smooth" by Santana...

  • Me and my buddies get so shitfaced and yell the opening line

  • Does anyone else think it sounds like Hole In The Sky by Black Sabbath?

  • wait. is this actually about black metal music or something else?

  • thanks 88nine radio Milwaukee for bringing this to our attention!

  • holy shit, definitely getting this

  • thank you Google!

  • this song is kind of annoying

  • Heard it on the current. Let's go MPLS

  • @Matdinger

Yeah except we hear it every 5 minutes- the Current is getting shitty

Someone at my job thought they were saying BLACK MAYOOOOOOO

    BLACK MAYO!!

  • what a bunch of fags

  • I just don't get it.

  • How come i havent heard of the band until now?!?!?!?! And All 199,298 veiws are form me!

  • How come i havent heard of the band until now?!?!?!?!

  • OWNER OF A LONELY HEART

  • @MrRdp777 I WILL NEVER UNHEAR.

  • @MrRdp777 MAKE REMIX MASH UP NOW! Title it "Holding on to a Lonely Heart"

  • @MrRdp777 Precisely what I thought... plus lyrical content/message is dumb.

  • I heard this song and was very impressed... but was shortly reassured that the rest of the album wasn't as cool. Is this true? If it is, it's a shame.

  • @loopdeluke my morning jacket doesn't make a bad album. That's your awnser.

  • the beginning kinda rmeinds me of kill bill.

  • I kinda hate how people are just now discovering My Morning Jacket, and radio stations are just now playing them, because i've been a fan since 2005. But in the end, I'm just happy they're finally getting the recognition they deserve.

  • It sounds like the were drunk and just started to sing Blaack metaaaaal, Black Metaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal

  • have i been sleeping on this band or what? is it all this glorious?

  • cant say ive heard anything much like this before

  • Plus this song makes me wanna buy some black metal and go to Norway.

  • This song kicks so much ass, bloody underwear is everywhere.

  • @castingtherunes lol, sure it kicks ass, sure it does. The opening lyrics of this song tells me how lame the rest of it is.

  • @tulllguy Just like the rest of your comment tells me how lame your musical taste is.

  • Oh fuck, another Christian rock band.

  • @WMAGene Black metal is an extreme metal subgenre. Its lyrical content usually revolves around Satan, the occult, stuff like that. The artists aren't really serious about the things they talk about, but that fact eludes some people. Look up bands like Mercyful Fate and Venom. This song is about "devil music" corrupting people. (Really, look up Mercyful Fate. Even if you are a Christian, you might be surprised.)

  • I AGREE SO MUCH WITH SandarinOrangeJr 's COMMENT! I can't believe this song is recent... my morning jacket, you guys have fuckin brightenned up my life and many others'. SOMEBODY IS FINALLY BRINGING BACK GOOD MUSIC !!! I hope all bands follow what you've started here, bringing back 60s music. This is some fuckin narley shit !!!

  • Plenty of potential this band and as much as I'd like to like this track it just reminds me of any of Banarama's tracks from the early 80's.

  • This song is about a vibrator

  • This song is so kickass, even my cousin who doesn't like rock and Roll loved this song when we heard it

  • When it finished I got so pissed off and then saw the replay button! I love My Morning Jacket! Long live Jim James!

  • Love it! It sounds like 60s and I love it!!!

  • Like this if u heard of my morning jacket on 'American Dad'

  • nice

  • playing this full blast on your car radio, windows rolled down makes you feel like an ultra-cool motherfucker.

  • @lovepeterw2911 I can attest to that.

  • @lovepeterw2911 I'm gonna try that in my mom's minivan.

  • @lovepeterw2911 i hate people like you.

  • In Cbus Monday!!! I'm so there. This is the best album of the year. The songs, one after another, move my soul and feed my mind, not to mention the sick riffs and grooves..... I'm inspired

  • mmj is a truly talented group, who have worked long and hard. SEEING THEM THIS MONDAY. SUCKERS!!!

  • the band is bitter because black metal is cooler and more relevant than they are.

  • @TilHelvete jealous...of a few talentless musicians repeating the same clanging drum-beat, the same inverted power-chords, the same growling over and over and calling that music? and relevant, when black metal artists shun the public eye like cockroaches fleeing from the light-bulb?

thank you, that joke just made my day!

  • @bookworm1138 It's hard to call black metal repetitious when on the comments for a song that repeats one riff for four and a half minutes straight.

Even Burzum songs are more interesting on guitar than this song

  • this song sounds so 80s, i fucking love it =)

  • of the 42 dislikes, i'm willing to bet 35 would change their mind if they saw mmj perform this song live

  • @EliteBeave just saw it last night. easily one of the best songs they did

  • @ACDCfan11 i was there too... red rocks is too amazing

  • yes so sik! also check out "highly suspicious" by these guys on the evil urges abum. its nice

  • Just spent the last hour listening to this band. Man, the are just so sick! This song, listened to for the first time on comcast of all places, instantly got into my head. A true ear worm, this is. God, this is almost sexual in its feeling. Somebody channeled Grace Slick from the 60's on this one, i'll tell you. Man, pass that bong and just chill. Great!

  • I saw them in person at a Conan taping.

  • I first heard this on a station that mixes classic and modern rock. Before I heard that it was My Morning Jacket, I thought it was some obscure 60s song, like a forgotten gem by Tommy James and the Shondelles. I mean that as the highest compliment.

  • @SandarinOrangeJr Something similar happened to me once. I was listening to satellite radio in my friends car and a My Morning Jacket song came on and for a second I thought they were some band from the 60s that Jim James was ripping off. That's how good of a songwriter he is, I thought he was the very artist he was stealing from haha

  • @SandarinOrangeJr is it 93 XRT in chicago? That's the station i've been listening to that I've had no idea was 1,000 times better than the forgotten Q101 when there were the DJs there. The random music played online for that station is good NOW without the DJs, but used to only 99% of the time play modern mainstream instead of being completely mixed as it is online now.

  • @SandarinOrangeJr That's alright, I thought they were chicks.

  • @SandarinOrangeJr look into " E-Saew Tam Punha Huajai (Advice Column for Love Troubles (Part 1) "

    ;)

  • @SandarinOrangeJr No doubt! they hit the nail on the head, neo classical has a new meaning

  • Heard it on Yahoo Radio and love it!!

  • what a great song!
