@studentofknowledge77 Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal said, he who says "by scholarly consensus" has lied. And he's right. There is no scholarly consensus that music is haram. Yet those who claim it is always say it's scholarly consensus! Imam Al Ghazali wrote a book about this matter (music) which I think you should read. It's available on amazon translated into english.
