ha! tee-hee. cute bird. those gravel perches! they were made to file nails, the nails never touch them really. in the wild they would never stand on such a perch! they wore bouys foot pads down and made his feet bleed in spots, real red areas of irritation! bouy is a bigger bird, might have made a difference. since i investigated, his feet are great. nylon ropes tore him good. and pine perchs, cuz he splinter chewed. I have to tell everyone that story! bighugs and 5*'s! (">bouy

The gravel perch I bought has really helped my sun conures nails...I bought the biggest size..so his nails would touch and put it low in the cage...nails are much less sharp and there has not been a problem with soar feet...as of yet.
