How to Make Pesto Sauce

If I can't get fresh basil, can I use dried basil? It's impossible to get fresh basil in my country... I have all the other ingredients though.

i had never ate a pasta pesto.. any alternatives to make a sauce if u dont have a blender or a food processor?? just like to pound a garlic or to mash a potato..can be?

Some recipes call for pinenuts, but we prefer walnuts.
