  • God bless her soul, she was a wonderful human being. Good bye Amy, see you later!

  • Amy O’Neill loved the simple things in life. She knew how to see the good in every life.Amy, 53, of Hamden, one of the longest-living survivors of a rare and painful disorder, recessive epidermolysis bullosa died early Sunday at Hospice in Branford. “Amy lived with a zeal for life that shined as bright as the sun. Amy’s spirit brought together her community because it helped folks appreciate the simple things in life in a way no one else could.”

  • As of Sunday July 24th, 2011, Amy is with God. It was her faith in Him and her desire to live and make the best of her circumstances that kept her alive. I have known her for 11 years. My wife has known her since around 1985. We knew her pain and suffering and watched her struggle as she lost parts of her body and suffered through skin grafts. All she wanted to do was live and live even more. She kept her days full while she struggled independently to do what she could on her own. Peace Amy.

  • You are one of the strongest people in the world, you are a hero, God be with you, and bless you.

  • Oh and please contact me.. I would love to find a way to help you out with this situation. I'm not sure if there is much I can do, but I am willing to try. Don't hesitate, please...

  • Amy, you are an inspiration! I pray God is with you throughout of your pain, troubles, and tribulation dealing with this absolutely horrific disease. My sister passed last year. She had REB also. Both of you are heroes! God Bless you!

  • I know this is not much of a help at all, but Amy should read a book called, The Vortex, by Jerry and Esther Hicks; it may help lift Amy's spirits. I hope she has a full recovery.

  • What an insperation she is. I cannot even imagine what her daily life is like. I so pray for her recovery from her cancer. God Bless Her.

  • Thank you for sharing. Big prayers for Amy! Feel free to join us at ebfriends(dot)ning(dot)com .
