"Crazy People Right To Speak" is by far the best album by Kajagoogoo (or Kaja, as you like). And yes, Nick playing the bass or the Chapman Stick is just pure groove.
For the record, this came out in the early Fall of 1985. Hits by Kate Bush, Princess, T.X.T., Propaganda, Level 42, Vitamin Z, Grace Jones, Jaki Graham, Scritti Politti and others were out around the same time.
i can't imagine any Kaja fans not appreciating this track. it screams "summer afternoon in 1986!". catchy melody, sharp production, and nick's chicken dance. i mean, honestly, what's not to like? reminds me of TYBOM!
quite possibly the worst album Kaja(googoo) ever did but Limahl's solo stuff wasn't that good either. The video is horrible though. Saw Nick Beggs playing bass for Kim Wilde recently...still loves funny hairdo's that guy'll never change!
as much as i adore limahl, kaja's songwriting greatly improved after he left. Island is one of my favorite LP's, but this song has a nice quality to it as well!
This is an amazing album that shouldn't be compared to "islands" or "white feathers" it in a completely different vein, maybe a bit too modern pop for them, but still a gret album. My only problem was the drums..I think dave mattocks was the wrong choice for their progressive new wave pop sounds. Great album though, especially the bonus track "hurricane".
I actually owned the Kaja album Crazy Peoples Right to Speak on vinyl in 1985. It is long since lost but I still have a cassette recording of it. I thought this was a great song and it still holds up today. I had never seen the video before so thanks for uploading it.
Ok this video is soooo wrong on soooo many levels. First ok the scary white boy dancing. At least Steve has the sense not to really try. He looked bored. Nick oh Nick the hair the voice the dancing the clothes DAMN! Stick to the bass. Stuart nice try.
i played this to my brother/wife and mates on vinyl last week - no-one gave it more than 3/10 - but I think its a floor-filler. Love the bit when Nick Beggs sounds like a chicken.
boooo!!!.. that hair :S .... I saw a poster with word ''wanted'' and his picture under that at the hair salong.. :P:D the award is 100 000 dollars!!:D take him there ..please!!!!.. the hair is tooo stupid:D
I just found out that this song is on the soundtrack to Santa Claus: The Movie from the 80's on EMI Records.

the one who said Kaja is a complete joke SOUNDS like a complete joke hahaha. Eighties bands' crumbs make up for the whole music industry of today.

I'm a Kajagoogoo-fan since i was 12 years old, and now i'm 24! I'm from germany.
Kajagoogoo is still one of the best groups of the notorious 80's and i think that Nick Beggs is the best bass-player in the world!

Don't get me wrong. I had this song on one of my mix tapes back in the day. Brings back tons of memories to hear and see it.

I like this song but I miss the hairdo's from the "Too Shy" vid. I wish Limahl had stayed in the group-they were great.
