this is one heck of a confusing way of doing it. I haven't done long division many years, but I remember doing something where (after the first two numbers) if the dividend couldn't fit into the consecutive digits then we would take the remainder from the last part of the division and put it in front of the next number - so the remainder was multiplied by ten and then the next number was added on to that.

I ended here and watched it, I didn't quite get it at first. I eventually took some notes and began trying with random numbers myself. I ended up being right. To you people, who are asking for the results for some divisions: why don't you just use a calculator?

What I found to work really well is to convert it into fractional form. Why? one might ask. Well sometimes the divisor is really great like in the 100's and the dividine is large, sometimes with decimals, it just seems easier to break it down and simplify it with a GNF without losing track of where you are. It just something I found practical. :)

3) 930 you can just take a look and say how many times does 3 go into 9 = 3

how many times does 3 go into 3 = 1

same for 0 = 0 done
