yet this was 88 ppl,,,, in the 70's they were doing Jazz, both great genre's for them but they hit it BIG in the 80's when they changed to pop... and REALLY with lady gaga coming out of an EGG at the grammies, REALLY... at least these ladies had REAL talent and could sing lady gag, and yes i said GAG, WAY under the table...... ppl worry and write about the LAMEST things on youtube,, gripping about the outfits and shoes, REALLY.. these women BUST it out,, WHO CARES what they wear.. GEEZ

@leftfieldmind agreed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lady gaga is never even close to 5% on what the Pointer sisters did or had accomplished. June Anita and Ruth will always be on top. Always be the number one female group. The youth of today....... geez! I pity those kids.

great songs, great voices, great dancing, WHY the costumes!! i mean, sci fi meets KISS... they could have done quite better w something more simple, like a dress and heels. the song is fabulous though

They were way too talented to resort to gimmickry like this. The costumes and "novelty act" flourishes are exactly what they said diluted the music and boxed them into a corner in the '70s. Not a high point in their career, that's for sure.

@yougottabee : I will disagree a little, the P.S. have always been about havng fun. As far as I know they didnt overmuch wear these space gettups ... but, yor right, the thrift store dresses were definitly that kind of thing.

@yougottabee I think they're just putting on a show. This wasn't their schtick for everything. But even the best of singers can be a bit boring just standing there and singing the whole time (especially when it's an uptempo song).
