@Mastercaster1984 I agree, Inge is worthless and making 5.5 million to bat sub .200. I wasn't mad that we didn't get Ramirez because he is a middle age guy that has injury problems in the past. I think it could of been like another Carlos Guillen. Giving a guy 13+ million to sit on the bench. I still think the Tigers may go out and trade for Chase Headly, or platoon Inge and Kelly until the trade deadline and maybe get a 3B of a team that isn't contending. The market was really thin this year.

@Mastercaster1984 I really don't think Santiago will be an everyday starter. Leyland has already said he is more than happy platooning second between Raburn and Santiago. I don't know if Santiago would make a good lead-off hitter either. Doesn't walk a lot and has a career OBP of .316, which isn't good. Jackson is going to have to find a way to cut down on his strike-outs, or get moved from the top of the line-up.

I lived in West Michigan at this time. The Tigers farm team, the Whitecaps, season was over, and they had opened the ballpark's restaurant with an all you could eat buffet with the game on TV. When Mags hit this, I got so excited, I threw my Tigers' cap in the air, and accidently hit a nearby woman in the neck (I apologized). BUT, there is no way on God's green earth Chavez is better defensively than Inge. The two best defensive third basemen in AL are Brandon Inge, and Beltre. Chavez has a good arm, that's about it.

I was at a restaurant/ sports bar in West Michigan and the place was jammed packed watching the game on the multiple big screen TV's. Once Mag's hit this, the place exploded and everyone was screaming, yelling, and exchanging high fives! The Tigers were back! A simply awesome Tiger memory that I'll never, ever forget. Go Tigs!!!
