i got the gto over the camaro mostly because its a car that almost no one else has. it sucks as to "fit in"

4th gen camaro(01-02), 05-06gto, and 5th gen ss, in my mind pretty much all run the same 1/4 mile time. the horsepower is different from them all but so is the weight.

The New SS camaro will beat a Stock 6.0 GTO. The SS has 425HP GTO 400HP. The Camaro just came with more power.

way to have faith.. theres a thing call power to weight ratio and the extra 25 doesnt help the much heavier camaro. since you bench race think about this stock SS does 0-60@4.9 and 13.4 down the strip and stock gto does 0-60@4.6 and 13.0 down the strip

gto is about 300 pounds lighter. the camaro has more power. true but the gto has a better power to weight ratio

Wait a minute... so what you're saying is that because it's not a Pontiac Motor Division engine, it's not a Pontiac? Well, I guess the Trans Am and Firebird aren't Pontiac either since the TA has the same LS1 engine as the GTO and the Firebird, bless it's heart, has a 3.8 liter V6 that was originally in minivans.

I remember a post that RAMAIR made one day saying that the GTO doesn't say Pontiac anywhere on it... Well, I hate to break it to him but it does say Pontiac. When you start the car the display comes up with the word PONTIAC right before it does it's system checks.
