You do realize that the Youtube website was launched in early 2005, I believe. Back then the internet wasn't used by people as a publicity tool as frequently, so music didn't instantly get posted online.
I have the original CD, AND without diggin it out of the closet, I think it says 90 or 91.... just sayin, I am not going to dig one CD out of a box of like 200 at 9 pm.
@whiteflock No but I don't think the wifey wants me rummaging about in the bedroom closet while she's asleep..... & .... on the American Label, TVT, it is copyrighted 1994 neta
@Soopaweirdo Just in case you still don't "hear" me: I only remember it from when I bought it when it came out in 1991, but this guy is saying it came out in 1987, so I said that sounds feasible because it has the same sound as his early tracks which were released on 'Selected Ambient Works'. Next time, try reading and understanding what people write before you make caustic comments.
@Soopaweirdo wtf are you talking about? I'm talking about the first Analogue Bubblebath E.P. you moron. This track isn't even on the "selected ambient works" album. My point was that it sounds like it could have been. Take a backseat and stfu.
My god he was only 16. Do you know how music was back then- glam rock- and depeche mode was boy band. This much ahead of their time was only kraftwerk when the show up
There was loads of good electronic stuff around at that time. Acid house was coming up and so were the raves. Kraftwerk were around since the seventies.
@enternius Its not that important but this was definitely 1991, I remember it being a massive underground hit that year, i was working full time as a DJ back then and I got a copy, which still has 1991 on the label! I've looked it up on discogs (which is pretty exhaustive in how it catalogues music) and theres no reference to a 1987 release. Cheers
yeah its hard to believe, that 1987 when bands like new order, and all those cheesy 80s ballads were getting made, there was a guy in his moms basement basically creating something, that would totally change the conception of reality, i equate richard and what he did in music, to when bill gates invented microsoft windows
Absolutely incredible. Nothing in the world can compare to the feeling I get when I listen to this track. Such a genius! An amazing track for the time, and still is now - timeless.
to anyone whos played the nintendo64 as a kid... doesnt this tunage remind you of bomberman hero? i know, nerdy as shit but i cant help but think of it every time i hear this tune

This version appears to 'jump' at the beginning. The original eased into the track. Is it supposed to be like this, and why?

Rich is a total genius. He probabally made this track while he was still in his teens; he started making music when he was 12 aparrently.

There is stuff on Selected Ambient Works 85-92 that sounds like this so I wouldn't be suprised if he made it earlier than 1991 before it's release.

Anyone can write anything they want on Wiki. Yes.
But for everyone that writes something wrong, there's billions of people who can change it to be correct.
Why focus on the negative? I'd take the advice of the whole world over just one person saying "ur wrong" on the internet.

Analog Bubblebath - 1991 on Mighty Force
ha ha ha i just checked my rack. ive got the TVT release, 1994.
original release date listed inside the CD insert of my TVT release confirms 1991 as the original release date.
and if you look up the other tracks on this EP on youtube youll find images of the vinyl noting label and date.
TRaddcliff 7 months ago
no this date is wrong. not 1987. its from 1991. search internet before posting lies.
