  • i guess every one askes does it bite hahahah cute dog bro :)

  • Looks like you have a well trained dog. He seems very loyal and kind. A couple dobermans I've been around were mean and got angry quick.

  • Oh god he is goerguos!

  • "winnygent88" You can tell two things from your unsolicited comment. 1.) You have probably never owned a Doberman, just had the hell scared out of you by a good protective one and, 2.) You are ignorant when it comes to know what you are talking about and especially about the Doberman as a breed. They are extremely loyal and very protective of family members. More people are bitten and attacked by German Sheppards then Dobermans. Yet the GS are beloved.

  • Gotta love those European bloodlines!!! Awesome looking dobe!

  • Damn, are Dobies' tongues typically that long??

  • dobermann is actually a dangerous dog. even tigers can be trained not to attack their owner and play with him like your dog do in this video.

  • THUMBS up to the Crop and Dock.

    Thumbs DOWN to the music....

  • good looking dog

  • I love how in the beginning of the actual footage that your Dobe is in step with the beat. He's absolutely stunning; his color is definitely not watered down like most American Dobe show dogs. Very Schutzhund-esque body. He's one of the most beautiful dobes that I've seen (besides mine, but every dobe parent is a little biased when it comes to their own, right? :P)

  • your dobermann is cute

  • I want your Dobermann :L jk He is an absolute stunner :)

  • whats the name of the song at the end?

  • When I got my Dobbie it was from some random dude. It was skinniest unhealthiest of the bunch. But I fell in lub with him so I chose him. Now he is healthy, strong and still growing and really motivated. I named him Niko Bellic heheehee!

  • super dogg what a dobermann !!!!!!!!!!!!! its the best frnd

  • Where did you get your Dob?

  • awesome

  • So I'm just curious.. is he from European or American lines?

My two dobes are from American lines, I'm thinking of importing a Euro dobe soon though..Either way the Doberman breed as a whole are just amazing <3

  • MASSIVE

  • wow, that's a really beautiful dobermann

  • I know you say you like a big dobe, so you went with a real breeder... have you looked into the health issues that will no doubt arise from having a dobe over the breed standard? There's a reason why bigger dobes are frowned upon, and "real" breeders breed for the standard. This dog looks like he needs to lose some weight, and have you done any tests on his hips, knees, and other joints? If not, I would highly recommend it.

  • Awesome Dog! He is gorgeous!

  • WOw.......beautiful doberman.

Real deep chest on this guy.

That is an impressive animal, this look should be what the kennel clubs strive for in this breed.

My doberman looks like a wimp along side this guy.

  • Lovely dobe, but needs to lose at least 10 pounds. They are definitely suppose to narrow at the waist, regardless of how big and muscular they are.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Your dobermann is serieus muscle,

  • Thats why I spent the money and found a real breeder. So I could get a heavy boned large Doberman just like this fella. He is pretty much perfect. Not fat but substantial and healthy. Not like the watered down insecure small "SHOW' dobes mostly seen.

  • @awilke86 Agreed! I want to spend the money and get a full European Dobe and make it a personal protection dog. Our current dobe is part European and he's bigger framed than most, he also has darker markings, and the he's very much top dog when he take him to the dog park! If he's only part European I can only imagine what a 100% European Doberman must be like!

  • @nikigurl08 Actually, reputable European breeders strive for pretty much the same breed standard as americans. Oversize Dobermans are penalized, and carry extra health issues as well, which we don't need considering the poor health they have to begin with. A breed standard, healthy dobe, will typicall be faster than one of the larger ones, and run circles around it. Other than looking "cool" there's no benefit to having a larger dobe.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Depends on how big! And big is better when mean takin out a coyote or a big man. I dont care if a smaller dobe is supposable so much faster a 70lb dog dont stand a chance against a real threat. You get a big man and he's gona break the dogs neck! Or if someone crazy dog gets out and goes after your kids will your dog stand a chance against that dog!

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Were always so worried about this meeting SHOW STANDARD crap and this oh the dog gotta be the next winner in agility! Well im not lookin for a dog who can jump hurtles fast or win a ribbon for being pretty! IM lookin for a dog who is fearless and can standup to big man or take out another dog if it poses a serious threat! I want a dog who can handle a threat!! I could careless if the dog is show quality as im lookin for a working quality dog!

  • @nikigurl08 It's not just about meeting show standards... A healthy, 70 pound doberman would have zero problem taking out a full grown man. I'm guessing your'e not too familiar with the breed? Bigger is certainly not better, especially for protection work. The bigger you go, the less of an advantage you are giving your dog, because the bigger he gets the slower he gets, and one of a dobes best weapons is their speed.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Oh really well I got news for ya a wimpy lookin doberman isnt gonna scare away everyone. And if the dude got gloves on the guy could easily overpower a 70lb doberman than choke it!! I dont want a dog jus nips someone heels run around them. And a 70lb dog aint gonna knock over a 200lb man which case he's probably gonna take a bat to the dog and kill it!! Who cares if the dog is fast!! If it can't take a hit its done for!

  • @DakotaTheDoberman I'd never buy a 70lb doberman. If I want fast dog I'll get a Greyhound!! And I have a 90lb doberman and he's pretty fast and he can take a hit!! I want a muscle bound dog not a dog that resemble a greyhound so much!! Dobermans are meant to be agile but not sensative! A greyhound or very lean built dog is incredibly fast but quick to injury!

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Beside if the only doberman out there were the wimpy american show type I'd wouldn't invest my saftey or money in the dog! I'd probably get a Rottie or a cane corso, which I also very much like too! But when I see Dobermans like the one in this video that have an agile but muscle bound look to them I'd b willing to invest in the bite work training! Which by the way I've actually talk to professional trainers for helping me with the bite work and training.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman And I do know more about the breed than most owners of Doberman! I know there stubborn, beautiful dogs that arised from a lot of different breeds. They also unlike most working breeds can have a companion and working relationship with there owner. They also have almond shaped eyes and they recognize sound before they see. They also get along with anything they've been raised with including cats. I also know they get bloat, can have heart problems and have other issues.

  • @nikigurl08 Also, like I said below, the bigger you go, the more you increase the risk of health problems. Dobermans are extremely unhealthy as a breed as it is, the last thing you want to do is get a big dog that has a higher risk or developing bone, hip, joint and other problems, which they are already plagued by... Someone breeding for size is not breeding to avoid these problems. When you're doberman can't get off the ground, it won't be too much help... Just saying.

  • @nikigurl08 Do your research before deciding to buy, and not just from the people that are selling oversized dogs.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman But their issues come from their build like the bloat cause they have a barrel chest and a high tuck up! And I realise they have a lot of energy more than the average person can handle so they need to have space to run or lot of bike rides! They also are incredibly intelligent and require a firm leader! So plz dont tell me I know nothing of this breed! I've trained mine to do off leash obedience so I know what to expect from this breed! I just have a different taste in size!

  • @nikigurl08 Here's what your failing to understand... Size should not be a deciding factor. A deciding factor should be a dog bred for protection work, that has titled parents and a history of working lines. Many of the breeders that breed for size are just doing that...breeding for size. What's more important than size is your dogs willingness to work with you, desire to train, being able to make quick decisions, and understanding what you are asking in the most intense situations.

  • @nikigurl08 Talk to people that have oversized dobermans, and ask them about their health... When your dog is 4 years old and has wobblers, or a bad hip, how is it going to protect you? It's not. It's going to lay on the floor, and wobble around. If you think a breed standard sized doberman is wimpy, and can't protect you, then you don't know as much as you think. While a bigger dobe may be more intimidating, it certainly does not mean it would be better at protection work.

  • @nikigurl08 I'm not saying to get a small dog, I was just using an example. Again, if you think a healthy 70-80 lb doberman can't take out a full grown well proportioned man, than you would be wrong. I understand what you're looking for, but putting a priority on size is going to severely limit what you can and can't do, and it's not the way to look. But you talked to a trainer, so you know what's good. In the real world, it doesn't work that way...

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Why do you care so much what size of a doberman I get! Ill probaby go for around 90-110 lbs range. Im not looking for all these fancy titles im not wantin to spend 5000 dollar on a damn dog! I realise its gonna be pricier but at the same time if the dog has the drive and the build than its fine! Its doesn't need a long line of schultzund parents to be good in Schultzund, provided it helps but it not necessary.

  • @nikigurl08 I don't care what size doberman you get.. 90-100 pounds is a pretty standard sized doberman. I'm simply trying to get you to understand that just because a dog is bigger doesn't mean it's going to be better at protection work, or schutzund for that matter. Size should not even be on the priority list if your looking to do PP or schutzhund. I'm going to stop arguing, but I urge you to do your homework before you make a mistake and get the wrong dog for the wrong reasons.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman The reason I like the bigger size is because when you watch the schultzunds trials it always the bigger size dogs that literally knock the ppl down to the ground! They just grab the guy and the dude fall straight down! The reason I like this is because if a person is pinned to the ground its gonna be much easier for the dog to put the person in submission, whereas if they just grab the dudes arm the guy can still beat the dog w this other arm!

  • @DakotaTheDoberman I mean if you got a dobe and he has enough speed and stamina to knock someone over and do the job than hey that's what counts! I mean as long as the dog can do the task at hand! If you like the more medium sized dog that's agile than go with it! But for me I just dont feel safe putting my safety in a dog that considered medium size. I also like the intimidation factor. If my dog can scare away the typical person than great no one has to get hurt including the animal.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman down the road tho, ill probably invest in two or three protection dogs especially if I end up getting that bigger size home. Either way whatever works for you. And I will consider the wobbler's syndrome and make sure the parents of the dogs are tested not to have that disorder as a dog who has this wont be doin be able to do the job.

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Ours for example was actually breed from mostly show lines with a hint of working lines and I' know he'd do exellent in Schultzund! If someone comes to the door he doesn't know he bares his teeth and stands guard!! He just doesn't have the proper training in doing the actual bite work!

  • @DakotaTheDoberman Trust me I look for dogs that are stubborn and fearless. I love a dog who's very confident and alpha in personality although i'd make sure its was very submissive w me! Cause If I call the dog off I want immediate respond not I'm gonna blow ya off cause that not a well trained bite dog.

  • @awilke86 I want a dobe just like this big and strong "work" dobbie because i always find small and very skinny dobbies

  • @awilke86 how much you spent on your dog?

  • the most elegant dog, and one aggressive dobermann is the most dangerous dog to the human !!

  • savage dog pal luks great, wel dun

  • Your Dobe is Gorgeous! I have a doberman to, he is 10 months old now:D, they are the est dogs

  • nice dog. We have a English Bulldog :D

  • Beautiful dog - I want a dobermann again!

  • awsome looking dog... how much does he weigh?

  • wow ! love it:)!

  • Good looking dobe, but he's a little fat.

  • I've been to America, and you have only small and tiny dobermanns, so no wonder you think this dog is too fat. This is a large and muscular Doberman, it means a perfect Doberman!!

  • when they cut the ears it look like this ? or what i really dont know ? :)

  • @RiversWisdom

Abnd how exactly do you know that docking/cropping is a pain? From personal experience?

Once again: dobbies are getting docked appx. in the frist 5 days with no blood nor pain whatsoever!

Cropping is done under total anesthesia, thus painless.

There are many far worse things that average dog can be put under and that goes for a lot medical treatments.

Docking and cropping are not among those!

    Period.

  • Docking and cropping, thankfully, is illegal in Australia. Docking a tail and cropping ears have absolutely no function that asthetics. I know this. I work in animal welfare. And before you go crazy on me, animal welfare is different to animal rights. And, by the way, it is NOT painless.

  • Have you or have you ever had a Dobermann?

  • Are you people at so called animal welfare aware that Dobermann as a breed had dropped to merely 15% in terms of newborn litters, due to the so called human car for their well being?

  • What have your so called "statistics" got to do with docking and cropping? I don't see the connection. I love dobermanns. I have had alot of experience with dobermanns. If I was in the position to get a dog, I'd probably get a dobermann. I love the breed. But I'd have one with natural ears and tail. The welfare organisation I work for doesn't have a problem with purebred dogs, apart from the health problems that go with each breed. We just have a problem with asthetic mutilation.

  • As per natural-which dog breed comes exactly under this particular term of being "natural"?All the dog breeds are originally produced and selected by us, humans, in accordance to our needs. You should know why Dobermann is supposed to be with cropped ears and with no tail whatsoever. It is a matter of original concept and tradition, and also of practicality. No one is mutilating dogs more than organizations that promote sterilization of the dogs, depriving them of right to reproduce...and exist!

  • ...So, ripping off reprodictive organs is OK, but trimming of ears under total anesthesia where dog is tenderly being taking care of for the next half a year at least, providing closer connection to his human counterparts, is NOT? Ripping of the testicles of dogs, making them eunuchs' is OK, while it is not OK to dock the 5 day old tail which is, btw, completelly painless. NO PAIN in docking whatsoever, whilst removal of grown up broken tail is complex procedure, and it happens and is reality!

  • You are so misinformed, it's laughable. Do you know how many unwanted dogs & cats that are out there due to irresponsible owners?? Regardless of whether they are pure or not? One shelter here has to put down around 5 thousand cats & kittens per year because there are not enough homes for them. Have a look at MANY different breeds and how they have changed over the years eg. german shepherd, british bulldog, siamese cats etc. The list goes on & on. & most not for the benefit of the breed.

  • I couldn't care less, really. There are also children of Biafra, dying every single day, so why don't you leave the comfort of your home and go there to help them? It is easy to be salon altruist.

  • For example, many "show" german shepherds, who are winners of shows, can't even walk due to the deformity to the hind legs from the overt slopping back. Is this good for the breed. They were very different 50 years ago. They have changed for the worse. Why not change the dobies for the better and let the have their tails and ears. Most people will adapt!! And its absolute bullshit that there is no pain from docking tails. Go talk to an experience vet.

  • I work with well over a 1000 dogs per year, and the amount that need their tail removed is probably 1 or 2... and that is not 1 or 2 per cent!! And they are dogs that are crossbreeds. Mostly abuse cases or accidents... not from injuring a tail because of what their breed to do!!

  • In Australia maybe, but you should not measure the world form the place that is actually so far away from it. ;)

  • It is well known that vets are louasy at tail docking. Any serious breeder will tell you that. The same goes for cropping. As per GSD, not of my interest. Dobermann will nto be a better breed with tail/ears, just incredibly ugly.

  • & finally, before u make such stupid & illinformed statements about desexing, why don't u actually, physically go down to your local reputable animal shelter & find out realistically how many homes there are in your area for unwanted pets, & how many irresponsible people are letting their pets breed, & the hard work for little pay the shelter staff do... for the absolute unconditional love for the animals. & then see why they desex. It's not for no reason or taken lightly. Educate yourself.

  • Babe, I told you - I am not in the role of playing Mother Theresa. Understand? As per stupidity, you should ask yourself how come everyone else is stupid but you? We are talking about cropping here. As per education, I sincerely doubt yours can be compared with mine. You just write what you've been told to. No balls in your statement whatsoever. I think you should give example to all the strays by having your's removed. They are non functional anyway...or u are just being gayish? ;)

  • Wow, you are so ignorant, it's laughable. You have no idea of my education (which is extensive in the animal area), or where I've lived (which is quite a few places, actually) and the fact that this is not what I'm told... it's what I live day to day. Like I said, educate yourself.

  • I fail to see what your question has to do with docking or cropping.

  • Many respectable breeders abbandoned Dobbie breedeng due to the fact that someone is forecfully trying to establish a new looks for the breed that hasn't been bred to have tail nor ears. General perception of the Dobermann is that of dog with cropped ears ond docked tail. Even people that has little or no direct experience with the breed itself claim not be able to precieve this magnifcent breed with ears and tail.

  • The only good Dobe is the one coming from EU, namely: Italy, Hungary and Serbia...perhpas few of them from Russia even. Australia can have non-cropped Dobes but the fact remains the same - all but EU continental Dobermanns suck...and that is a well proven fact. No one asked breeders should the cropping be banned, because the answer would be clear and simple - NO! This idiotic ban was made by the same people who claim APBT, Fila or Tosa are dangerous breeds. It is always human and never a dog.

  • 0:57 (L)

  • I don't know who you are from. I'm from germany. It's easy here to get a Dobermann, but it's hard to find a GOOD breeder. I think you actually know what I mean. Cropping the ears and the tail is illegal in germany. But lots of Dobi owners go to other countries to cropp their dogs ears and tails. I think no one should do it, it's pain.

  • man respect to u dude ur doberman is very kool... ive been wanting one since i was born but is too hard to find one here in El Paso Tx.
