You have a lot of potential but practice the rudimentary skills and you'll improve so much. It sounds like a bad thing to say to someone but you'd be surprised at even the drum veterans who practice even the smallest things even after 10 - 15 years of playing.

Not bad. I would try playing along to metronome until you get the timing right. It sounds patronizing as it did to me (as a bass player) when someone gave me that advice, but it really helps.
