My favorite Helen Reddy song! I remember first hearing this on WHBF-AM 1270 in Rock Island, IL in 1973 when I was seven years old! What is it with this fascination Helen has singing about mentally ill young women? LOL! First it was Ruby (Red Dress); a year later, it was Angie (Baby)! Two great songs, nonetheless!
Okay, YouTubers, I need your help. I'm a bit of a movie buff and it seems to me I recently watched a film on cable and this song was featured in it, at the end I think. Can anyone refresh my memory.
This song did not chart? Well, in America it not only charted but went to Number 3 Pop and Number 1 Adult Contemporary for 4 weeks and was song of the year!
@brian6078 Yes, it was also a VERY big hit in Canada... Unfortunately most people not from North American think the US is called "America" and to them Mexico and Canada don't exist, unless of course they're making fun of the US, which is often...
i love this
