It's a policy of the Ministry of Culture to not let people do any act that might "violate" the image of a monument while somebody is recording it (video or photograph). So, they have guards ready to interfere every time. Dancing is one of the things that guards are ordered to stop.
I know, it's a bit weird. I live in Greece myself and I still can't understand why they have taken the measures at such an extent!
