Just watched Kill Bill Vol 1. again and oh what a master piece of acting between Carridine and Uma. "I overreacted" he tells her when she tells him she would have believe it impossible that he would want to kill her. Then, he goes into his "explanation" and wow how intense, layered, poetic and loving speech. Carradine conveys anger, love, resentment, compassion and vengence and does while looking manly and in love with her. What a good actor he was. A timeless love scene!

Strange as it is, I just happened to be in the middle of viewing the entire first series DVD from the library. I still think the show was brilliant and David was the best person for the part. Whatever he happened to become - or whatever happened to befall him at the age of 72, I choose to remember him as Caine and nothing more or less.

My gawd.... how absolutely sad to hear of David Carradine's passing today. I am almost certain this happened not by his own hands, but by another scenario. I sure hope the family investigates and gets to the bottom of this. What a FINE actor. I loved him most in The Long Riders with his brothers and the Keach brothers. He, and they, were fabulous.
