Not gonna lie, it's pretty good. Pilots are never really good, but you're supposed to get a sense that there's potential for it to grow from it and I did with this. It reminds me of a much raunchier Suits (with Kristen Bell to boot). I'm used to him talking into the camera from watching Better Off Ted over and over lol, that part doesn't bug me. Hopefully it gets better though, but it could easily take a bad turn as well.

I got the markings of easy to hate/love characters that are extremely set up for serious arcs in their character through lines. By the end of the season these characters will have loved, lost, been hurt, humiliated, slimeballed their way through while hurting others, and watch the damage and fallout, thus causing them to change. The makings of great stories so, what's your problem with it?

All of what we do and say is important. What do we care about in this world? Is this the kind of world u want to live in? A world where habitual drug overdose, sociopathy, and the sexualization of children is glorified? And that was only the first five minutes. If we can accept this now what next?

If you're looking for something that calls out Wall Street completely then go watch Inside Job, it's very good.

I'm really enjoying this series and find it refreshing,funny, and actually find the freeze scenes kind of campy and a highlight! The son and his gender issues creates a real angle to the plot that I like too! I just can't believe there are still people worrying about racial flirting and a possibly transgender son in the 21st century on Showtime or HBO..geez...Don't watch and don't subscribe if your offended by real life situations..check out Captain Kangaroo and I love Lucy instead!
I don't see the necessity in bleeping out the swearwords, we still know they're there, and I doubt that many sensitive people are gonna be watching a showtime pilot. Anyway, the show is OK. Kind of weird seeing Kristen Bell play someone so different from Veronica Mars.

I love this show. The banter alone is enough to hold my attention. Bell is the perfect combination of sexy and smart. And Cheadle is killing it with all the B.S. that he's throwing around in the board room.
However, I think HBO is overdoing it with with the son and ex-wife. It just seems like some hack sitcom writer that made them up in his sleep. Those two seem too fake. I think Big Love, Shameless and Californication did a better trainwreck of a homelife for the leading man.

I am sure glad it was edited. Middle fingers aren't a problem, but sex on TV is. Unless you want Showtime to become another porn channel, I would suggest this program either be edited more closely or moved to another type of channel. Or maybe I am just out of touch with today's s exploitation. It seems to be the thing on TV. Fire the good writers and replace with inane stories and nudity.

I'm really enjoying this series and find it refreshing,funny, and actually find the freeze scenes kind of campy and a highlight! The son and his gender issues creates a real angle to the plot that I like too! I just can't believe there are still people worrying about racial flirting and a possibly transgender son in the 21st century on Showtime or HBO..geez...Don't watch and don't subscribe if your offended by real life situations..check out Captain Kangaroo and I love Lucy instead!

I don't see the necessity in bleeping out the swearwords, we still know they're there, and I doubt that many sensitive people are gonna be watching a showtime pilot. Anyway, the show is OK. Kind of weird seeing Kristen Bell play someone so different from Veronica Mars.

@lionheartodd There were comments made, some I even quoted about the flirting and Cheadle's character being unrealistic. I think the kid is supposed to be like Becca from Californication. Cheadle mentions "He's looking for me to push back", the kid may turn goth in a few episodes, you never know. I am entertained by this because I didn't take it too seriously...it's TV...and it's free. Don't tell me you get your history from the History Channel.

It was okay...... wasn't anything spectacular! And it definitely wasn't Entourage, Mad Men, or Breaking Bad good. It was very mediocre in my eyes. The story plot just isn't completely pulling itself together. But who knows that was just the first episode.

I love this show. The banter alone is enough to hold my attention. Bell is the perfect combination of sexy and smart. And Cheadle is killing it with all the B.S. that he's throwing around in the board room.
However, I think HBO is overdoing it with with the son and ex-wife. It just seems like some hack sitcom writer that made them up in his sleep. Those two seem too fake. I think Big Love, Shameless and Californication did a better trainwreck of a homelife for the leading man.

Don Cheedle has got to be one of the best actors of our time. I like how the 4 main characters seem to mesh together well. The show seems believeable. I will be watching. Especially now that Dexter and Boardwalk Empire seasons are done.
