I'm in Hungary with my wife Ottilia. Yes! What a great trip in the US. Forget the politics which can talk about ad naseaum. What a wonderfully beautiful country. Oh, we were in London, Cambridge and Oxford for a week in early November.

Great work! glad you went into Grand Canyon - I've been to the bottom there, De Chelly (that day hike is only 4 hrs in/out, -beautiful cottonwood forests follow the shallow De Shelly R.) - and Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado (steepest trail in no. America).. you can't get a real feeling for these river canyons unless you hike down to the river and the cottonwood forests along the banks..

Thanks. If only the idea behind the National Park system - sustainability of what is precious - were applied to the world at large I think we would be a happier planet. Sounds pedestrian but a great truth is usually a simple one. Aside from that my wife is Hungarian born, a country with an unhappy past, and she was blown away by the variation.
