I just subscribed to the Life Extension Channel and I was completely shocked to see "The Alex Jones Channel" come up as a related channel...PLEASE TELL ME LIFE EXTENSION IS IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NUT JOB!!!!!!
If so, I will be cancelling my membership & telling my friends to do so as well!!!
Dear SkyDaddy7, thank you for your support and comment. YouTube offers related videos based on users browsing history. Life Extension is not associated with videos that appear in the related channel.
@LifeExtensionVideos No, I was not talking about "related videos"...When I clicked the "subscribe" button for this channel it asked if I would like to subscribe to a "related" channel which was "Infowars/Alex jones"
This Alex Jones person is a complete fool and to have your company being associated with him on YouTube might not be good for Business.I know it made me want to run as well as others I mentioned it to that use your company. I would look into why YouTube is associating LE w/a fool!
Unfortunately we have no control over what YouTube deems as our "related" channels. It is beyond our channel control to decide which other channels YouTube recommends to those who subscribe to us.
We thank you for your support and we hope you understand that we cannot change the way YouTube has programmed the related channels functionality.
I have been taking 5400 I/U of Vitamin D (5000I/U Life Extension; 400I/U in Centrum Multi-Vit) since Sept09 & just tested & my blood test show 45ng/ml...Is it possible that the Vitamin A in my Centrum MultiVit is reducing my VitD test?
Plus, I take meds for a spinal cord injury 120mg Baclofen a day & 900mg Lyrica...Could these meds reduce the intake of vitamin D?
Thanks for your question. What we have experienced here at Life Extension, after reviewing thousands of vitamin D blood tests, is that most people despite higher intake are still deficient. The optimal blood level is between 50-70 ng/ml. Speak to your doctor about increasing your vitamin D dose. More is probably all you need.
@SkyDaddy7 Medications that block fat absorption, called fibrates, may interfere with vitamin D absorption. To avoid this potential interaction, separate all medications from supplement intake by at least 2 hours.
What gives bones their strength is a connective-tissue protein called collagen. Unfortunately, there really is no food source for collagen. Instead, you need to eat foods that help the body make collagen. Dark green vegetables are the main foods containing collagen producing agents. Also eat food rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C is needed by the body to build collagen. Foods rich in vitamin C include: plums, berries, citrus, tomatoes, kale, broccoli just to name a few.
Asian and Caucasian woman are at more risk for the development of osteoporosis than Hispanic and African woman. It is imperative that all woman support better bone density and strength.
