  • I have the 1913 Demo record. The flip side has a dull song. I wish I had this disk as well.

I treat it carefully, as I do not know if Columbia had begun making their records "unbreakable" then, and as I lost 2-3 shellac records that broke without ANY reason ! (incl. a Bing Crosby recording on a Decca disk, White Christmas, only recently replaced by a CD incl. it)

  • PLAIN AS DAYLIGHT! I love it when language is spoken intact.

  • Re cord lol

  • I just found this in a lot buy I just got, pretty neat

  • I have this record, flip it over and listen to the Columbia Male Quartette sing "Kentucky Babe"!!

Strange that Columbia was one of the first companies to release two-sided records, some may remember that Columbia also went BACK to one-sided 45 rpm records briefly in the early 1980s for their budget series. These 45 rpm singles were budget priced, since they only contained the hit song and no 'B' side. I have a copy of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" in that configuration (Columbia CNR-03344).

  • I have this!

  • I think it'll be a success! :-D

  • KING OF THE PROMOS!!!

  • Pretty cool. Great sounding record for being 98 years old.

  • aBSOLUTLY pERFECT!

  • I love this very much. Fascinating.

  • Nice find! I've never seen this record before, maybe someday, I will get the Columbia demonstration 2-sided record and I will play it on my 1975 GE Wildcat.

  • Holy cow, I gotta get me one of those talking machines. Sounds like the next Big Thing to me!

  • That was amazing high-definition audio at the time.

Ditch the Ipod, back to the Gramophone.
