No doubt, it's an amazing trick.

However, I don't understand the move of revealing the first selection.

I mean the move is not motivated, and audiences may be confused because they can not follow the deck flipping.

It's just easy. Two selections are lost in the center. The first one reveals it self. And with using the first selection the second selection can be found.
