You know something. Yes I am a Canucks fan but if you look at what happened that year is amazing. Back in 1982 the New York Islanders beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-0. You knew there was no chance for the Canucks that year. Now 1994 the Vancouver Canucks are still the underdogs but they made it to the Stanley Cup again. Yes they lost but they made it all the way to game 7 and loosing by just 1 goal. Now that is a pretty amazing fact for a team that no one expected to go past the 2nd round.

Whats with the ny oilers comments? yeah Messier, Beukeboom, Tikkanen Graves and two others were Oilers. But the Rangers had Brian Leetch and Mike Richter, without those two they wouldn't be champs. Besides bring in players with Stanley Cup experience whats wrong with that?

Messier would have played more than 800 games as a Ranger if he didn't have a problem with management. Besides, Leetch got the Conn Smythe, Richter was in net (as u noted), Zubov was the team's leader in total scoring that season, and Kovalev had the best playoff season of his career. Besides, idc how many former Oilers they had in 94'. That year they wore Ranger blue.
