Get Widgets on Your Archos Easier

I installed it the same way you did, but I went to the source file and it says "This is not a recognized file type. It will not play." on the screen when I click on it.

How come Archos make it so hard to put widgets on their players? I download them and they show up on my Archos 7, but the files are not recognized and will not function. Please help!

i try to download widgets off the archos it download okay good but i win to do the widgets it say no widgets found you can download new widgets using the menu

@blackunderground1313 i dont know whats happening but i hate this method because you have no selection and it wont always work, watch my other video of how to put widgets on your Archos, its a tiny bit harder but you have a selection and they will work

How do you get the widget to download as zip

That doesn't work if you download the widget off of the Archos website that is linked to the widgets menu on the Archos

im not sure if you can answer this, but when i go to install and download the widgets exactly the way you did, it downloads is as a .wgt file and not a .zip file......any ideas on whats going on or how to fix it?? thanks!

i think its still worth it, i bought a iPod Touch and jail broke it cuz i didnt like it and i still dont like it. If you bought a old iPod Touch you can download 1 costom file or use it as a storage divice because apple protected the firmware (expet from Jail Breaking, it worked on a flaw). if you get a new one u get the 3.0 firmware, so u can but old ipods u gotta pay $10, i still like the Archos, less money for more memory

yea, but do you know what i can do to my archos 5 to make it cool? add apps, and good free games. i cant buy the plug ins since i dont have a job. please help me out.

i dont really know what you mean by "make it cool" get a pre-payed visa if u live in the US and help some neighbors with some chores

i can tell you this much, but it will turn you off: it lags like crazy because of the effects like smudging and bluring it. you cant make a curved line with it.

Does this work on the 605 wi-fi or just the 5 and 7? Same for the vid on the Flash Games?

well the widgets are the same but for a 605 make sure its Flash 9 by right-clicking the game before you download it
