can anyone point me in the right direction please, i want to use my keyboard as drums for rock style, so i would have certain keys set up as certain drum, and when i play it doesnt go in as loops (like in fruity loops), but goes straight into timeline, can anyone tell me what software would do this, and how i would go about doing this please, if someone could help me out i would be very thankful :)

thanks for the tutorial on the grid its simple but i did not know how it worked till now but this tut was very informative and now ableton i find much easier to use.
