Possibly, but perhaps it's a metaphor for marijuana which was also known as tea at times (along with pot (of tea?)). My guess is the director was probably censored from showing a bunch of peaceful hippies passing a joint around and not acting like the crazies in "Reefer Madness". I'm just going by logic, which is often wrong.
thanks for the upload, dylan was influenced by woody guthrie and the rest was a spontaneous combustion of the british invasion (influenced by american blues), and american rock and roll, also influenced by american blues.

Thank you, thank you for taking me back to the greatest time on earth...audio could be better but I can live with it for the visuals. All you Hippie hating Un-hip Hopper's out there, eat my ass-id!
@DirtyMidnightTown look again Einstein. I mean his sunburst Fender Telecaster with Strat neck in THIS video. Watch it to the end, got ADHD and can't make it that far?
@Unclemoparman Yes, a Tele for "We're going wrong", his "Fool" SG for the first part, before he removed it's Maestro trem for supposed tuning stability...oh that Eric, always subtracting. To other post's here: People who hate hippies are sexually repressed and tend to lead violent, meaningless lives.
Very 1968 Great video . Fits the time well . I'm 64 and was at that time period . Remember most of it . Due to being wrapped up in that life style for a 10 year warp it was fun . But cannot look back . It was what it was . All in all Eric's style is very unique and has class . It's to bad Jack and Ginger never stayed out in the limelight and pursue their career's . I guess they were not motivated enough . Jack has a masters degree n music U of Scotland

God damn it! I wanna know what is the story behind that telecaster with a stratocaster neck! It is probably the same one Clapton used in Hyde Park with Blind Faith! Dont believe it is a tele with strat neck on this video? I am certain of it. I have this Cream DVD that has a large picture and you can easily see that it is that guitar. Since when has he owned that? Is it really Brownie´s neck on it,as some people claim? What happened to it?
clapton got the SG after his les paul was stolen and gave it to the art group the fool and they painted it for him they did jack's fender VI later and rushed it but it never dryed properly and it became sticky
What you see is part of a Danish movie called "On a Saturday Night" ("Det var en lørdag aften"). Cream has got nothing to do with the plot of the movie. They just appear with a lot of hippies for a while ...
Yeh a pity they didn't show much of the band. A typical period piece this one but great fun - whoever dreamt these things up? They mimed to the two Disraeli Gears songs on Monday 5th February (World Of Pain / on truck) and Tuesday 6th February (We're Going Wrong / in hall) 1968. On Wednesday 8th they played two gigs at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen.
that is not a telecaster, its not even a fender. It is a Gibson SG, he only played it while with cream, it was a gift by the dutch art group The Fool, the flipped out fender bass jack bruce is playing was also a gift from them, by the time he went to Blind Faith (his band after Cream) he was playing almost entirely on a fender stratocaster or his gibson ES-335. Last I heard Todd Rundgren now owns the GIBSON SG.
There is a clip of Eric playing a tele at 2.51...the SG wasn't a gift from the Fool he commisioned them to paint it as did Bruce. He only took up the strat after Blind Faith on his 1st solo album. Rundgren has recently auctioned the SG.
The songs are World of Pain and We're Going Wrong -- from Disraeli Gears, Cream's second album. Search those song names on YouTube. Someone has downloaded them. They can be heard in much better quality.
You just wish it could go on and on. But it stops after six minutes. Those songs are two of my Cream favorites. I was 22 and living in Ocean Beach (San Diego, CA coast) in 1968.
@jjmc60 Indeed, but at the same time ,this is totaly ridiculous,to think, that one time this crazy lot was taken seriously.Clapton & friends will be embarrassed beyond words, that they took part in this sham. Probably on instigation of Robert (stiggy) Stigwood. The man who gave us Sergeant Pepper The Movie......;-/

If this was made for television in 1968 , why is it in a 16:9 widescreen format instead of the 4:3 narrowscreen format that was standard back then ?

Eric used Fender Custom Telecaster Sunburst.
The Telecaster's neck was exchanged Ritchie Blackmore's Fender Stratocaster's neck which has large head.
This Telecaster was exchanged to 1956 Stratocaster's neck and used in Blind Faith.
