Thanks for your comment pacocanas, much appreciated. There are one or two things I'm not happy about in this performance but I can't hear anything wrong at 2.47!
Hi DenianArcoelo maybe it's me but when I listened to your performance I felt that that one note at 2:47 was flat, then to make sure I compared it to David Russell's recording and Barrios recording, and still sounds flat at 2:47, but then again maybe I'm hearing things, but double check! UR AMAZING!!
I have seen different arrangements (very little changes) Russell at 2:47 plays 8th sol, ♯ fa, mi etc, whereas Danian plays 8th ♯ fa, ♮fa, mi. There is no wrong in both cases. I have seen both arrangements. There is also a variation at 0:16. As I said it depends on arrangement! There is absolutely no wrong note in Danian's playing. He is a true MAESTRO VIRTUOSO!!!
My respects to DenianArcoelo and I am not denying the fact that he is truly a maestro, perhaps I should not have said anything, but I'm sorry I have only listened to the way Barrios played it and most of the other recording artists play it. if he chose to play a different arrangement, my respects for him and I will say it again he is AMAZING and I love watching his videos.
Congratulations Denian, this a beautiful rendition of this piece, one of my favorites by Barrios. You have a wonderful technique and musicality, great work.
In concordance with Guitarwizard, I must admit I find your rendering to be quite fulfilling, Denian. Well done!
I have a recording from Jason Vieaux who plays this piece tremendously well, but in some places I find yours so much more well meant; for instance the slide in 1:58... Marvelous stuff!
The pace is just right, I think. Not too fast to have periods where you outpace yourself between parts, and still fast enough to keep things flowing, like it ought to.
Just back from Rome! And I found this from you!! WOW! It's great!! 5 stars! A bit to fast for my taste... but I have a recordig with Barrios himself and he plays it even faster so I guess you are more right in this than I am... :)
Great to hear from you and thanks for your kind comment. It is a lovely piece by the master, although I think I play it a little too fast here-might re-post!
