Ios and its devices= quality, fixed and 100% warranty on that you feel confident about everything works as it should.
Android an its devices= need 24/7 software updating, not fixed, you cant be sure if it works as it shouls, many bugs, problems, lags, freezes, trojans and the apps are copies from appstore but they dont works as good as the apps from appstore.

android is a very nice os! but they need the hardware of the iphone!. ios4 is also very nice, I really don't care to customyze my phone if the design they give me is so beutyful!!!!

im on froyo and when I pull that menu bar down I have a button where I can toggle orientation mode on / off. comes with froyo that runs on samsung phones i guess.
please note that iphone doesn't have "real multitasking"

The moving screen saver on the Android must be a real battery drainer and for me a real gimmick that would really irritate me. I prefer the simple yet sophisticated IOS Apple operating system. Apple wins for me.

@andrebudy google does this to have the new android version as fast as possible on the devices. Porting htc sense and making it better costs time. And when they finisshed wirking on porting the a newer android version has been released.

And yes Android is more of function than design and iSO is more design than function, it's like Android is a sport car and iSO is luxury car. That being said FroYo is all about speed, but the next upgrade Gingerbread it's going to be all about user interface. Now remember Android is not even 2 years old.
