  • vista... whyy... it keeps downloading into a format that it can reconize.. and in all tht chaos it keeps thinking that it is to be open with widoser media player.

o please if anyone knows anything about this jaged edged laptop please do tell me how to fix this.

  • FUCK! it detected it once before and configure wouldnt work but now its not working.

  • Hey guys, I figured out what you have to do at joy2key, so I hope this helps.

You don't press the buttons on your controller. You open up both joy 2 key and the Game Controllers Menu. Now press a button, how about left. So it would (atleast on my computer) flash the number 8. So then, you go to joy 2 key, and then look for the part named "Button 8". Then you simply click on one of the things that say "disabled" and hit the left arrow on your keyboard.

  • do you know if it'll work for windows 7 64bits?

if it doesn't then do you know of any video that teaches how to do the setup?

  • I have everything until the Joy2Key part. Can u show how to enter the keys, cause it won't let me enter PS3 buttons.

  • @ZifziTheGreat When using Joy2Key you need to see what button is which through the windows gamepad manager. I named out the buttons in the video so on Joy2Key figure out which button is which and put it in. There is a lot of settings to go through but I am sure you can play "match up."

  • is the 1 2 3 4 suppoed to light up and be solid? cuz for me it just stay blank

  • @iakurass1 Did you follow the video correctly?

  • @TheConSept yes i did now it is solid but the buttons do not work lol

  • how do u assing the right anolouge so you can look up, down.......

  • @kenanabdu If you are trying to use it on a shooting game you need to go into the gamepad settings of the game and assign it in the game itself to joypad one. then it will work. You won't need to use the Joy2Key program if you do it that way.

  • @TheConSept thanck you so much for that

  • Can you change the hat switch into buttons? For some reason my D-pads are not buttons, meaning I have to use the analog stick for menus and what not...which sucks because of its sensitivity.

I dont know if this is a common problem or because I dont have a standard ps3 controller.

  • Are you from new england? You sound a little like the mafia...

  • Awesome tut man. BTW for those who don't know. You can get the program to auto run by setting it up in your windows as part of your windows start up.

  • thanks man it took me a minute to get the hang of it but its working.

  • i dont have game controllers WTF

  • How do you make it work EXACTLY as shown in this video on Windows 7 x64 Home premium.

  • I don't have windows 7 yet so I am sorry. I have no idea how to make it work on a 64 bit windows 7.

  • *Tears hair out*

  • BTW the other 2 buttons u were missing are the two analog sticks when you push them down (L3/R3)

  • Wrong. As I stated in the video the Analog R3 and L3 are actually numbers 2 and 3. 18 and 19 are still to be discovered. Watch from 3:07 on and you will hear me say "Select, L3, R3, Start."

The last two buttons are still unknown.

  • wtf dont wok

  • there's no game controlers in my control panel

  • Nevermind Figured it out

  • could u possible show a video on how each button is suppose to be set up cuz its a little confusing srry if im bothering you dude

  • i would recommend xpadder personally. more functionality, rumble features, trigger custimization, and custom deadzone etc. otherwise great tut :)

  • you have to pay

  • the current version yes.

i happen to have an older version that was free a while ago. i will take my install files and images and put them in a .zip and upload them ;)

PM so I remember to give you the link.

    @TheConSept

PM me as well so I can give you the link, if you care to put it in the description.

  • awesome finally got it working thanks!

  • can you post a Joy To Key tut it would really help

  • how do i configure the anolouges? i have done everything except the anolouges help pleasE?

  • The analogues to the Joy To Key?

I believe you set the up left down right to -72 72 72 and -72 on the different axis'. I haven't tried it yet myself for the emulator because I am only doing PS1 games.

  • I can do the left anolouge but not the right... if anyone has info or forum where i can find info please reply :)

  • I think the right analogue is the Z axis one. and then Z accelerator

  • I change to Xpadder :P took 1 minute to do :P

  • you are simply awesome! THANKS MAN :D

  • The calibration doesn't work on mine. Everything up to that point is perfect. Any ideas?

  • Your calibration doesn't work? Um... do the buttons light up when you press them and when you are looking in the controller settings?

  • Nope. It detects the controller but nothing moves.

  • Did you install those files I have listed in the info bar?

And what Version of Windows are you running? XP or Vistah, and is it the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version?

  • Ooops. Sorry I was running 32 bit windows 7. i'll try it right now with my 32bit vista ultimate desktop and let you know how it goes. Sorry for the trouble mate.

  • Okay now I tried with the 32 bit vista and it still doesn't work. If you don't know the problem then forget it i don't wanna waste your time like you said in the video

  • Its all good. Are you trying to use it via blue tooth? It has to be plugged in at all times to the computer. This one doesn't work the blue tooth way.

You also have to install those files first like I stated in the video. Then when they install have your controller plugged in. After that do the black screen flash thing and hold in the PS button for 5 seconds. If it still doesn't respond then... Which controller do you have? Dual Shock or regular sixaxis?

  • Yeah it's connected with the USB wire and i have the Dual Shock 3 controller. I installed all the files. I did the holding of the PS button for 5 secs and it reads it when I go to game controllers on control panel. Something just goes wrong. I guess I'm calibrating it wrong or its gotta be something before that. I've ran through the process 4 times already so I have no idea.

  • Is your PS3 on when you do this? Make sure the PS3's power is completely off (No red light or any light at all.)

Try hitting the reset button on the bottom of the controller. Its near the L2 button. Then do the whole thing with the PS button again... Im just trying to figure out what is wrong.

  • Do you have 32 bit or a 64 bit?

  • 32 Bit

  • Maybe thats why it doesnt work on mine computer... do you know any way of making it work on a 64 bit?

  • Vista Ultimate 64Bit SP2? I think I have a solution, but I doubt it would work... I had ta do something simular to this, & I have Vista Ultimate 64Bit SP2, but the files weren't compatible, I just installed the most compatible ones I could find, & then I made it XP Compatible, with theuse of Administrator suport... Both of these features can be found under the files you are using, just right click & goto properties... If this does not however work, then I got no clue, srry...

  • Growlmon's awesome

  • Agreed

  • Can it only be dual shock 3?

  • Uh... I don't have a regular Sixaxis to test this out with....

  • i allready donr it but yeah ur rite vista sucks but then again so does mac...... so XP rules lol

  • you talk fast lol... wen do u get ur ps3 back?
